If you like to be away from the common round trip route through Sri Lanka and like some more outdoor/camping/jungle experience you should go here. Already the drive by jeep into the lodge's premises gives you the feeling you are in the jungle and away from all the traffic. The privately situated lodges, looking like tree houses, together with all...

My friend and I are two women in our late 20's - we stayed at Polwaththa in November at the start of our trip in Sri Lanka. We were looking for quiet, an opportunity to get close to nature, and to nourish ourselves, and that is exactly what we found. We came in low season and as we were the...

You are surrounded by the jungle which is great. Lots of sounds from birds, frogs and other wild animals. The staff are brilliant and help you with any queries. We did 2 of the treks that are offered and found these really great. The food is fab and you get loads. It's a great place to relax and enjoy nature.

Super friendly hosts in a beautiful jungle setting. Food was fantastic-go for room and board. Attention to service. Rooms are single dwellings, basic without a/c. Shower is outside under cover. Beds are comfortable. Excursions offered and really knowledgeable guides. Come for several nights and experience some true Sri Lanka.

This stay was the highlight of our trip. I loved having a cabin in the jungle with nothing around but nsture. We got to do some lovely hikes. Would go back in a heart beat! The only down side was food while very tasty was not at all spicy and one morning breakfast service was poor. We asked for more...

We were due to stay here for five nights but ended up leaving from sheer frustration after four. When we arrived we were offered a room upgrade as we were on honeymoon, this was at cost to us and partially due to us being unhappy with the original room we were given. We accepted and settled into our new room...

First time we'd tried anything like this and what an experience. Nothing like waking up to the sounds and smells of a rain forrest! Only there for 1 night so could only do one hike but even so was a fantastic eye opening experience. Food was nice and staff helpful and very friendly. Only down side was the Mosquitos in...

We had a memorable stay. It was truly close to nature, we did a couple of hikes and just enjoyed sitting in the 'wilderness'. Our guides Chandana and Wije were exceptional. The food was very good and the rooms were nice and clean. Our room had an exceptional view as well.
