Wonderful guest house, Sally and Jerry have built a true planter's bungalow surrounded by tea with all the atmosphere and comfort of the olden days. Having been brought up on a tea plantation, this was indeed home from home. Sally and Jerry are wonderful hosts and the cooking is superb. The gardens and the views are astounding and nothing is...

Thanks so much for the review, Catriona, and we certainly look forward to your next visit. Former planters and their families are among our most special guests! All the best Sally and Jerry

What a gem! Kandy is hectic and noisy, luckily Jungle Tide is just far enough away to be completely removed from the hustle and bustle (about half an hours drive up into the hills above Kandy). It's a wonderfully welcoming family home where you will be treated to fantastic Sri Lankan food and hospitality, with just a pinch of quirky...

Thank you so much for the review, Lucie. You certainly got to know the local area which is as much a part of the magic as Jungle Tide itself. All the best. Jerry and Sally

We stayed with Sally and Jerry over Christmas and it was as if we were visiting family. We were traveling with my brother-in-law's family so we pretty much filled up the house. My husband and two children actually stayed in a small cabin in Sally and Jerry's garden. It was simple, clean and dirt cheap (they really should raise their...

Wow! What a brilliant review - what can we say? Only that you and your wonderful family made our Christmas for us, too, and it was so interesting to share the various seasonal traditions of the UK, the US and Romania! Thanks so much, and we look forward to seeing you all again, maybe even in New York City, who...

Fantastic guest house! Sally and Jerry are wonderful hosts and the food is delicious (made by them or Rani). It's clean, the rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Each room has double opening doors onto a veranda which spans the length of the house. Its wonderfully relaxing with a spectacular view of the mountains, great selection of...

We were a group of 13 people who rented the house for a week. The location is fantastic, the rooms nice and the pool area was also good. It takes a little while to get to by TukTuk to Kandy but the surroundings and the view from the house made it worth it. The food was cooked in the house...

Dear Mimmi Thank you for this very helpful review and we apologise for the lack of variety in the meals available especially breakfasts. We have taken this on board and talked with our staff to ensure future guests staying several days get more varied meals. Normally we are there and alternate cooking with our staff so guests can have western...

Sally and Jerry have built a beautiful home and graciously welcome you at Jungle Tide. The grounds are set in the hills above Kandy and it's there that you will find tranquility. Wake up to the sounds of birds and monks chanting in the distance, eat delicious food made by Sally, Jerry and Ronnie (so you are sure to have...

Great personally built development at the last stop in the road as it winds into the mountains. Terrific hospitality and attention from the owners. Great craik. Endless walks in the tea plantation and visits to Kandy easy. One needs a driver. And the access road will be completely redone to Lankan carpeting standards in 2017

We stayed 5 nights, the food was amazing and the couple who run the place have some great stories. Real peaceful homely atmosphere and a lovely swimming pool. There's also a bakery a short walk away through a tea plantation.

We stayed 2 nights in Jerry and Sally's small guest house with 3 children (7, 10, 17). The place is homestay -style, with excellent food and good but nicely informal service. Amazing views, nice walks, great pool, spacious lawn for kids to play. Very comfortable beds and stylish rooms, especially for this price. At the end our son had a...
