November 2016, 2 Family rooms (3rd floor), 8ppl, BnB. Parking was a mess. Security guard had no idea about parking. I had to move my car 5 times here and there saying a tourist bus is coming (may be because we are local?!). Bathroom shower cubicle was leaking and became messy (see images). Bathroom so small. Staff was excellent in...

The hotel is very nice, but the rooms number versus floors level are misleading. Rooms rather small. Treat the monkey sign on the windows seriously - dont leave money and jewellery in the room, no safebox available. Nice pool at the ground floor. If you would like to avoid noise, select any room not in front of pool. Nice restaurant,...

We stopped here overnight whilst on a 2 day excursion, the hotel is located up the hill away from Kandy town centre, We didn't have time to go down into Kandy as we were up early the next morning however it only took a few minutes to get to the town. The hotel is up in the trees and is...

Rooms were dated and tired, though clean. the bed was also very comfortable....

Nice hotel that was clean and well priced. Staff where friendly and helpful. Dining room offered good meals, dinner and breakfasts where very enjoyable. A nice bar to have a drink. Located up the hill away from the city centre but only a short tuk tuk ride to the centre. The hotel hallways "echo" and we where unlucky enough to...

We stayed here as part of an organised private tour. Bit basic and old fashioned in an endearing fashion, great food, comfy bed, beautiful view of Kandy and jungle from the balcony listening to monkeys and a waterfall. Only ten mins by tuktuk to Kandy. Make sure you take note of the signs about closing doors to keep monkeys out!

I arrived at the hotel with my husband and a coach load of people. The checkin was swift and efficient and the staff were very good. We were greeted with an on arrival juice and passed our room keys straight away. Our bags were sent to our room. The room was small but ok, unfortunately we didn't have the beautiful...

Nice hotel with big rooms, that also have balcony. It is situated above the city center, but it is very easy to take a tuk-tuk and get wherever you want to be. Its also still new hotel, so maintenance is not needed yet. Also very friendly staff..

We stayed in this hotel on two occasions for one night each time. One time the room was very small and cramped (on a higher floor) and the second time the room was bigger but it was on the lowest floor, where there was a small stream out front that had rubbish in it and it smelt of sewage on...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Serene Garden Hotel is situated within walking distance of the city centre and overlooking the serene Kandy Lake. Above all these things, something unique about Serene Garden Hotel: its ambience is serene and the experience blends with the unique enchantment that Kandy serenely weaves in the mind of the foreign traveller, as it has done for centuries.
