When we visited Hikkaduwa we stopped at Rita's for dinner & if you like your seafood you're in luck. I shared a seafood platter and it was superb & great value for money. The staff were very attentive also and a great location right on the beach!

We found Ritas to be great value for money. It is on the beachfront and they do not have evening shows so we found our room (facing the beach) to be quiet during the evenings. The location is great although the rooms are rather tired and are maybe in need of updating. We were upgraded to beachfront as one became...

I ended up at Rita's after another nearby guesthouse duffed up my booking.com reservation. I got a room on the 3rd floor set back but over looking the beach for LKS 6000 per night. Supposedly had hot water but I never experienced it! The room was clean on arrival but I never had my room touched in my 2 night...

We only ate here but on first impressions it's very good. The prices at first appear reasonable but then at the end they add a 10% service charge. 10% on top of a 900 rupee cocktail nearly makes it a 1000 rupee cocktail. We also had to go down to our third choice as much of the menu unavailable. It's...

Ritas Hotel is a good compromise between the new and sterile luxury complexes and the simple and atmospheric hostels in Hikkaduwa. We saw the hotel on the booking sites but went there directly before reserving. Luckily enough, since many rooms face the back and are quite dismal. We managed to negotiate ourselves into a beach facing room. Sitting on the...

We stayed there for New Years and it was great that the hotel was on the beach. The location of our room was terrible. Everybody walked by and you could hear everything from the outside. The staff was not welcoming and provided poor service. We paid way to much for a such "hotel". The on site restaurant served terrible food...

It's true that Rita's is in the best spot and some rooms offer a view of the ocean, but the beds were horrible, our room didn't get cleaned once in our stay and the restaurant is average at best. The only reason it's bearable is because of the location. Due to being there over New Years, there wasn't anything available...

1). Colonial set up in the rooms, with antique beds and mosquito nets - Great rooms 2). The price was 5000rs per night but worth it with a fridge in the room 3). Like other hotels, they have beds on the beach and restaurant facing the beach(we didn't eat from the restaurant)-just a few juices and based on that I...

The location is really great with the sea view. The room was clean and big. It depends on how much you are willing to pay. People are nice. They dont accept card payments so you need to have cash. And if you need to have wi-fi on your holidays - here it's very slow.

Found Hotel Ritas after walking along the beach one day. The room was on the second floor and had a fan rather than A/C. It was clean, the water was warm, bed comfy and it faced the ocean and all for 5500LKR a night. I found the manager very welcoming and friendly along with the other staff. The breakfast was...
