Spent one night at the hotel. On arrival the booking i made through the phone was not there. luckily there were rooms available and we were quickly allocated a room. the hotel is more like a rest house. The rooms are spacious and basic. The bathroom could have been a little bit cleaner There is a mosquito netting and electric...

Nice hotel with comfortable and spacious rooms even the bathroom could have been a little bit cleaner... Food was ok but not extraordinary. Pool is nice. We paid arround 45 euros for one night that seems a very fair deal. Really a good and affordable spot for a night.

Stayed one night here as part of an intrepid tour going to see Dambulla caves and Sigiriya caves. Spacious hotel with large dining and bar area. Outdoor swimming pool with good seating area with sunbeds. Room was large with efficient A/conditioning. Food was ok but wifi ok but only worked in reception area and was extremely slow – close to...

The Gimanhala is a comfortable hotel with decent sized rooms, reasonable bathrooms and a great pool and pleasant bar/restaurant. Service was reasonably good. The room bathrooms were OK, but did suffer from a slight odour (drains?). Beds comfortable. No view form the rooms near reception as these all opened onto a old style corridor. No wifi in the room. The...

Initially this place has a bit of a motel feel about it but it is actually a very small hotel with a lovely pool and garden area out the back and large restaurant. The rooms are very outdated but I understand that they are about to renovate. The bathrooms definitely needed renovation. Good basic place to stay though. Staff extremely...

Nice mid range hotel with clean rooms. Although it does not offer you luxurious stay, it is a good place to stay back. Food served was good and affordable. The best part is helpful and cheerful staff.

We stopped for lunch and it was not value for money. Restaurant staff is moody & not friendly at all. The selection is very poor & it is one of the worst meals we ever had. When you request for cutlery the staff will take ages to bring it for you. May be its a bad day for them however...

Only stayed here for a couple of nights when visiting Sigiraya - wouldn't be rushing back. There are lots better choices and Dambulla is a bit of a dive! Rooms were quite basic, pool you wouldn't swim in, and right next to the main road, so it's quite noisy.
