Secluded island with private areas including beaches for most fales. We loved our experience and could see and hear the humpback whales swimming past from the hammock that we spent most of our days in. Flash of hot water delivered every morning for your tea or coffee. Quiet restaurant with a variety of daily specials, unlimited tea and coffee. Good...

We visited Fafa for my birthday last month. It was truly an amazing place to celebrate! The island is absolutely beautiful and secluded, so we were able to wind down immediately on arrival. We weren't really aware of other guests and had the gorgeous palm fringed beach to ourselves almost all the time. Service was good and the food was...

My husband and I spent 5 nights at Fafa Island Resort and could not fault it. Our authentic fale was strategically placed to make the most of the beautiful views and easy access to the pristine beach while ensuring guest privacy. The outdoor shower was wonderful, plenty of hot water and a great experience to wash surrounded by nature. Our...

On the first occasion it was to celebrate our 25th wedding annivesary - although the weather was not great (cyclone season) the reception and care from everyone at the resort was outstanding. On the day of our anniversary we were kept unusually long waiting for breakfast - when we finally returned to our fale we found out why - the...

Beautiful island that my friend and I stayed at. Caught a boat from the main island there. Which was only 20 or so minutes away. Dinner was amazing, ate some Tongan dishes there. Their cultural night was amazing too, seeing lil tongan kids perform their traditional dances. Stayed in the fale with an outdoors bathroom. Very secluded and private. Enjoyed...

We spend an amazing week on the wonderful FaFa Island! It is soooo relaxing and management and staff cater to every detail and request. The fale is comfortable, love the garden bathroom. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (hammock and deck chairs) to relax and enjoy your book or sleep. zzzz. Snokelling, kayaking and swimming from anywhere on the island...

I went here with a friend on a day trip. Its a lovely island with a nice resort built in a sympathetic way. There is a beautiful little library, nice restaurant overlooking the beach and its a great place to forget everything and just relax. It is worth noting that its not particularly a place to go swimming unless you...

The island is a 45 min boat ride from the mainland, and about an additional 30 mins for the transfer from the airport. Everything went smoothly for us, even though it was an evening arrival. The fales (ie rooms) are well spaced out and each had its own entrance through the garden, with a clearing outside with loungers. From there...

We concur with the majority of the reviews; it's a great site for a "do nothing much" vacation. We had a full week here without leaving the island. I'll mention just a few aspects that might be helpful for older guests. We arrived in the dark off the evening Auckland 'plane. The wharf was pitch black and had uneven levels,...
