Where do I even begin... first of all the hotel does not have a bell boy to help you with the luggage and to make matters worst the reception is located under some stairs which make it difficult to get there without a struggle, we arrived there the person in the front desk was very nice. When it comes to the rooms the space is nice however they need some updating, we arrived and we found a dirty towel with some yellow stain on it and the sheets had some red stain on it, the shower is not your typical shower from what you would expect for a four-star hotel, the shower was uncomfortable and you cant even close the doors properly without having to really pull some maneuvers to close them, the hairdryer in the bathroom works for 2 minutes and then it turns off and you have to wait around 20 minutes for it to work again. The phone in the room was not working so we had no way to call the reception and we reported it to the front desk 3 times and no one paid any mind to us, saying probably is bad reception and left it there, so every time we needed something from the front desk we had to go down to ask for it, needless to say, we couldn't order room service because of this. There are no bathrobes in the room you have to order them at the front desk and no one cared to tell us. the second night the tv broke down and it took until the next afternoon for it to be fixed. Now the wellness they have 3 pools, the indoor pool is super small and it was dirty with some black things floating around, me and my husband saw the things and got out immediately, we go down to the saunas and there's 2, one that's barely warm and the other one too hot, the Jacuzzi's water is warmish, not hot as it supposed to bed, the wellness temperature is cold and the space itself is very small, and to make matters worse the steamy bathroom was not working, so literally after and 1 hour in the jacuzzi since we couldn't use the indoor pool and the rain did not allow for the outdoor pool to be used we decided to leave which in other hotels we spend the whole day in the wellness, it was so bad we came back the next day for our massages got into the jacuzzi for 15 minutes and decided to go look for decent wellness elsewhere and a place with pools so we could salvage this trip, also the towels they gave us were small and ragged with holes in them The food I have to say is tasty but the hours are ridiculous at 10 AM the breakfast is done and the dinner is from 6-8 my husband and I work online for an American company and we had to jump through hoops to make it to the dinner the day we arrived and for the next few days since the dinner has to be before 8 we had to go out to find food because at 10 we were hungry again and since the phone was down and no one cared we couldn't order room service. I would understand if that's the best the hotel could do, and if that were the case then it should be priced accordingly because with a discount we paid 340 euros for a 3-night stay which means I should not have dirty sheets and towels and if I report the phone is not working someone should do something about it and I would expect clean facilities. So, in short, we had the option to stay at the lovely hotel Tonanti or Fontana we decided to try something new and we wasted our money.…
So our kids were very happy about the inside swimming pool (as the water is really warm in it) but they could only use it until 18h. Adults can use it as their preference. I really thought this was a family hotel as there are a lot of families with kids but I guess I was wrong.
Vrnjacka Banja is nice destination for a weekend getaway with family. Hotel Solaris is not located in the center of Banja, families should bare that on mind when making reservations. All shared areas such as wellness, dining room etc. are very clean and nicely maintained. Rooms definitely need renovation and refurnishing, it is very convenient for the families that there are separate bedrooms but it is very unfortunate that rooms were not maintained as well as shared facilities. The staff is very pleasant and extremely helpful.
Solaris Resort is great hotel for families with small children. They have playroom and gratis childcare for 3 hours. Parents can be in the spa center or wherever during that time. Rooms are nice and food also. Spa center is the best part. It is new, clean, kept excellently. Measures for prevention of Covid 19 are implemented and monitored - guest can use buffet only with masks and gloves provided by the hotel. Personnel is very nice and will fullfill guests' every wish.
Nice and clean hotel with great breakfast. Great choice for business & pleasure. Staff is friendly and helpful. Will come back again for sure.I would recommend to those who want to have peace and nice stay in Serbia. I will visit soon again with first chance
I recommend this spa and will definitely come again. It is clean and comfortable. Great customer service and relaxing experience. The staff are polite and friendly. Spa/wellness center is property equipped.
Nice resort with exellent wellnes(massage, finnish sauna, russian sauna, turkish bath, unique cold room)Two outdoor swimming pools and one indoor pool. Clean rooms, frendly staff and nice restaurant with exellent food and drinks.
We spent a great weekend in Solaris. The staff is amazing, the suites are modern, clean and comfortable, the wellness center is top notch. The only drawback is the level of humidity (pools, springs) that may cause headache and excessive sleepiness. The snacks (mini Plazma, peanuts, Mars chocolate bar) and drinks in the mini fridge are surprisingly inexpensive, almost the same price as in the shops - great advantage 👍! Highly recommend it!
There were many good things about Solaris but it really wasn't the four start resort that it claimed to be. Our primary purpose of being in this part of Serbia was to visit friends and relations but we wanted to spend one night and one morning in Vrnacka Banja. We asked for bed and breakfast but were told that a full board package was cheaper so went for that. We arrived at 8pm but the restaurant closes at 8pm, so we have no comments on the dinner there! As we had already eaten it did not matter for us but visitors should be aware. The spa facilities including the swimming pools close at 9pm. We have been to other spas in Serbia where a late evening swim has been a particular pleasure. We were expecting a normal hotel room but in fact had a very spacious apartment comprising a large bedroom, a sitting room with a balcony, a kitchen and a bathroom. It would have been possible to stay comfortably for a long holiday on a self-catering basis. The hotel had been refurbished recently and the place was clean and bright. The furniture was new as were the tiles on the floor. The apartment was clean and well appointed with plenty of wardrobe space and cupboards. There were a small number of drawbacks however. The carpets were old, dirty and poorly fitted. One of the cushion covers had a burn mark. It could easily have been changed. The bathroom was of a good size but the bathmat was threadbare and the shower did not drain properly. In the sitting room there was a file of information about the hotel but only in Serbian. On the positive side there was a full size fridge in the kitchen, plenty of storage space and a good table which would seat four people round it. Generally the apartment was comfortable and we would have been happy to spend time there. Breakfast was served from 7.30 to 10. We got there at at about 9.30 and it looked as if the fried eggs had been out since the restaurant opened. Many of the cold offereings, however, were very good (including the kajmak - a local speciality). At about 9.50 the staff started turning equipment off and removing the labels stating what the various dishes were. It seems that "breakfast until 10" means "you must be finished by 10". There are three pools within the hotel area, one indoors the other two outside. Because of the poor weather at the beginning of June we were able only to use the indoor one. Although it was advertised as being salt water it was in fact the usual chlorine-treated swimming pool water. It was small: with six people it felt crowded. The other facilities we used were a Turkish steam room, a Finnish sauna and a Russian sauna. We very much enjoyed all of these. The changing rooms were clean and well-equipped and the system for using the pool and saunas was good. The gardens around the hotel were very pleasant and well tended. Visitors should be aware that the Solaris is tucked away in a residential area and so the outdoor pools and areas for relaxing around them are overlooked by blocks of flats. The centre of Vrnjacka Banja is a ten minute walk away. It looks like a pleasant place to visit with plenty of cafes and restaurants but we only saw it in the dark. The car parking area was covered which would give useful shelter from the rain or the sun. In conclusion there were some very good things about this hotel and spa but the drawbacks meant that it did not deserve a four star rating. Many things could easily be improved. And it was expensive by Serbian standards and so not good value for money.…
Solaris is very good equipped with extremely polite staff. They thought on every detail so your stay could be the best possible. Parking is large enough despite that almost all rooms were occupied during our stay there. Also the most parking spaces are covered. The food is correct and you have varied menu. SPA is comfort and in our opinion you have for everyone something (Finish, Russian sauna, Cold sauna, Hamam, several different showers, Salt room, massage ,...) One special touch was that I had a birthday during our stay, and my wife and I were pleasantly surprised when we came back to room after our walking on the near mountain Goč, and saw a birthday cake on the table with a note! Bravo Solaris!
