I spent one night at this "hotel", and I expected much more, especially having in mind hotel rating, which is 4-star btw. The staff was mostly nice, and there was a breakfast buffet, but nothing fancy. The rooms are quite small, I even had to switch rooms, after falling into spider web and chasing wasps in an attic room that I previously got. Nevertheless, the furniture parts are old, made of cheap material, dirty and rusty. Some handles were missing, like on the toilet. The pool is nice and small but the tiles in it are falling off, and they end up on the pool floor with nobody to collect them... The towels are stained, dirty and ragged. When comparing price rooms and quality - I wouldn't recommend this place at all.
The location was excellent. The room was very small, dirty carpet, old furniture, no air conditioning and no cleanliness. Poor breakfast and dinner. The staff is friendly but with no interest. The elevetor's buttons were cover with stickers written by hand to show you the floors. The walls need paint and tiles outside at the pool area were broken. The furniture are from WW2 period. The villa needs doing up. Not recommend to stay their.
I initially had heard much about this location and after visiting Serbia every 2-3 years I had never been here before. So this time I chose to go here for some rest and relaxation as this is what it’s known for. The hotel was a great choice in my opinion. The facilities at the spa, the pool, restaurant, and indoor common areas is truly at a very high standard. Where they do let themselves down and it is something that is important for most travellers, is the rooms which have a great size, and renovated bathrooms, but the rest of the room is reminiscent of post WW2 communism. There is such potential at this property to turn it around and make it one of Serbia’s best properties that could command a much higher rate and bring in more visitors, particularly with the new airport opening up in Kraljevo that’s not far from here. Although if you intend to visit, then you won’t make any mistakes here. The staff are phenomenal and the breakfast is a true Serbian style summer continental breakfast. Best I’ve had anywhere!…
I stayed at the Vila Aleksandar Hotel for one night during a tour of Serbia. The hotel is in an old and very nice building, which has been completely renovated on the external side. The interior, however, is still quite old and it suffers from the passing time. Rooms are of decent size, but they have seen better times. Amenities are of a basic quality and quantity. Staff is really nice, helpful and friendly, both at the reception and in the restaurant. Food is fresh but not very varied. It is, however, served in a gracious and generous way, with a lot of flexibility. With some improvements in the rooms, it could turn into a really nice place.
This hotel reminded me one of the hotels Gordon was trying to save in his TV series Hotel Hell. This hotel was terrible. The design is out of date, The rooms were badly lighted, the tiles in the bathroom were broken, the neon light was blinkig in the bathroom to drive me crazy, there were no shower curtains, so water was spilling all over the place... Of course water was spilling only after 4-5 minutes when the warm (not hot) water started to come... Friendly staff but even they were not able to change my recommendation: AVOID THIS PLACE!
Great location, nice rooms. The food is high 10! Everything is home made, the employees are very kind and helpful. The rooms in winter are very well warmed. It also has a spa center. The conference room is good for events and meetings.
Room are nice and clean, with comfortable beds, TV and nice view on pedestrian part, or hotel garden. Bathrooms are nice and cleaned every day. Spa center is on very high level, with all content which you need for relax and enjoy. You are also able to order massage. Restaurant and food are great, you can chose between traditional Serbian dishes (which I highly recomend), or well prepared and known European meals, like pizza, Wien steak, spageti... Hotel also have congres capacity, and its my group and me were very satisfied. Smoking is able in holl.
We stopped here for lunch and as it was my birthday, there was a surprise birthday cake for me. The hotel itself has a vintage and colonial look about it with a nice flower garden. I did not actually stay in the hotel but it seemed a good and friendly hotel.
Nice, old-Europe style building from the outside, but it has a run-down feel & musty smell inside. Pretty poor buffet dinner with awful music. The "spa" is brazenly misrepresented online. It's tiny, cold, and able to accommodate max. 5 people at a time. Never again.
Old stile - rustique; helpful staff; needs a bit of renovation - rooms particularly; excellent location; very good quality Serbian food; haven't tried spa facilities; nice balcony and a garden in front of a hotel
