Since I was a bit disappointed with the hotel I stayed at, I went on to check out other properties and hotel Villa Aleksandar was the best in my view. It is new, nicely furnished in a building from the beginning of 20th century and the staff is attentive and pleasant.

It is a very small hotel though, no more than 25 rooms, so during slow season it is good for those who want to avoid crowds and don't mind sitting alone in the small hotel restaurant.

If I am to travel to this place again, this is the hotel I would choose to stay in.

I initially had heard much about this location and after visiting Serbia every 2-3 years I had never been here before. So this time I chose to go here for some rest and relaxation as this is what it’s known for.

The hotel was a great choice in my opinion.

The facilities at the spa, the pool, restaurant, and indoor common areas is truly at a very high standard.

Where they do let themselves down and it is something that is important for most travellers, is the rooms which have a great size, and renovated bathrooms, but the rest of the room is reminiscent of post WW2 communism.

There is such potential at this property to turn it around and make it one of Serbia’s best properties that could command a much higher rate and bring in more visitors, particularly with the new airport opening up in Kraljevo that’s not far from here.

Although if you intend to visit, then you won’t make any mistakes here. The staff are phenomenal and the breakfast is a true Serbian style summer continental breakfast. Best I’ve had anywhere!

We stopped here for lunch and as it was my birthday, there was a surprise birthday cake for me.
The hotel itself has a vintage and colonial look about it with a nice flower garden.
I did not actually stay in the hotel but it seemed a good and friendly hotel.

I stayed here for a weekend and I really got to rest, which was the intention the whole time. Hote was very nicely decorated form Christmas and almost resembled a little chocolate box. The staff is excellent - these people are genuinely nice, and I felt pampered all the time. The food is excellent - fresh and home made, from local groceries. They bake their own pastry and even make their own jam, which is delicious. The location is perfect, on the central street but no noise. However (as we stayed in the winter) the water in the spa massage bath could have been warmer... But overall, this is a very good hotel and I intend to come back. I would definitely recommend it to my friends.

Room are nice and clean, with comfortable beds, TV and nice view on pedestrian part, or hotel garden. Bathrooms are nice and cleaned every day.
Spa center is on very high level, with all content which you need for relax and enjoy. You are also able to order massage.
Restaurant and food are great, you can chose between traditional Serbian dishes (which I highly recomend), or well prepared and known European meals, like pizza, Wien steak, spageti...
Hotel also have congres capacity, and its my group and me were very satisfied.
Smoking is able in holl.

Stayed with a friend during June 2012 for a week. The hotel was very new, comfortable and easy. The free wifi in the lounges was great, especially when I had to do some work on my laptop, the staff always made sure if I needed anything. The breakfast was always fresh and delicious with lots of options, we would eat breakfast in the garden/patio area that was very well maintained with beautiful roses and green grass and lots of shade. The staff always had a smile and were so friendly and even thinking of what we might need before we asked! The rooms were quiet, comfortable and large with a sitting area with table, mini-fridge, armoire, and tv.

The location was excellent. The room was very small, dirty carpet, old furniture, no air conditioning and no cleanliness. Poor breakfast and dinner. The staff is friendly but with no interest. The elevetor's buttons were cover with stickers written by hand to show you the floors. The walls need paint and tiles outside at the pool area were broken. The furniture are from WW2 period. The villa needs doing up. Not recommend to stay their.

Nice, old-Europe style building from the outside, but it has a run-down feel & musty smell inside. Pretty poor buffet dinner with awful music. The "spa" is brazenly misrepresented online. It's tiny, cold, and able to accommodate max. 5 people at a time. Never again.

I have stayed 3 times in this hotel over the last 3-4 years and every single time I was very satisfied with my choice. It is located very near the main promenade, but noise it still far away. Every time I had a different room and some are bigger, some smaller, but very comfortable. The onlz thing I did not like are sheets. Maybe they could replace the existing sheets with larger ones of better quality. I think that this hotel deserves it. It is one of the most expensive hotels in Vrnjacka Banja (which was empty this summer, to my surprise), so they should take care of such details.
The attention of the staff was every time the big plus for choosing this hotel and not to consider the other hotels. They are so genuinely concerned for the well being of their guests and running to help.
One of my colleagues had a sore throat and desperately needed a cup of tea before he went to bed. As the bar was empty I thought that there is no waiter and that it will be a problem. But, no the lady at the reception desk reacted fast and in no time there appeared the waiter and she herself offered to take a cup of tea to his room.
And breakfast was the best of all. They are serving local specialities and there is plenty of food to choose. Pies were freshly made.
I would recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to stay right in the center of the spa and enjoy the stay in an old hotel with style. The only objection is that it is a bit overpriced.

This is a lovely old hotel. You can tell that it must have been quite the place back in the day. It could use a little TLC, but overall it was very clean and comfortable. The staff was exceptionally friendly, especially Lilijana at the reception desk and Marko the massage therapist. This is an excellent value and the breakfast was lovely.
