Set in a tastefully restored period house, the Residenza Dutzu is a place to remember and return to when in Braila. The helpful and kind owner always around, the pleasant, leafy garden full of flowers, the correctly appointed, large rooms set in different styles, as well as the great restaurant with special dishes are all worth checking into. For vertigo...

Me and my friend arrived heavily delayed and super-tired around 4 am. We called on the door and woke up Alexandra, who gave us the room key and said that we better get some sleep, let's deal with everything else later. Great. The room was comfy and beautifully decorated with air conditioning. In the morning we were served a delicious...

Braila is the old charming town by the Danube who used to be a bustling port, and is now struggling to attract investors and tourists alike. As part of my father's family has roots in Braila, we're back three times in the last 5 years, each time for two to three days and always stayed at Residenza Dutzu. The Dutzus...

Had a wonderful time at this lovely hotel. Very old school hotel with modern feel. Even helped out when a medical emergency came up. The dining is first class and the accommodations are not to be missed. If you get a chance to stay in this beautiful town, do yourself a favor and stay at this hotel.

I spent a night in the small family-run hotel Residenza Dutzu. Right from your arrival feels the family atmosphere. The room we had was clean, with wrought-iron furniture, and the bed was actually a canopy. The bathroom is large, clean, but the shower seemed to me too sophisticated for a hotel. Breakfast is simple, in two versions. One is more...

Central but quiet location... Friendly and helpful staff... Bright and large bedroom with comfortable bed... Free parking available... Good breakfast... The wellness-shower is not, what we needed - difficult to use

Nice place to stay and eat Located in the old center of Braila you can see the old beautifull architecture of Braila. The same old style is inside and outside. Outside is a beautifull garden where you can eat a divine meal. I have tried a beef with red pepper and was the best I have ever tasted. This residence...

This beautiful little hotel has a heart - the Dutzu Family and the nice employees. Braila is one of the best preserved romanian city with barock, rokoko and jugendstil buildings. One of them was literally saved by Dutzu family and transformed in this little jewel of hotel. Keeping the romantic atmosphere through tasteful interior designs ( you can feel the...

Highly recommended! We were a large company, so I had the opportunity to see most of the rooms. The rooms were spacious, clean and cool, thanks to air conditioning. The view from the top balkony to the roof of the neighbouring church is breathtaking, both on daytime and nighttime. The balkony is accessible for all guests. The garden is a...

Very nice experience of a small family run business, good quality sleep and nice food. Rooms were very comfortable and the owner did his best to make us feel ok. Similar like other reviews, climbing the ladder is not an easy task, especially with luggage. Also didn't like much the shower cabin and tehre was too littly light in the...
