We stayed here over Christmas, for several nights. Great central location. The room was clean, and with a really good bed and great pillows, and a nice bathroom with a good shower. The breakfast was very nice, and it included more traditional food, and it was clear that it was prepared by someone who loves food. They didn't serve identical breakfast every morning either, so it was nice with some variation there. The staff were very helpful as well, we needed to checkout very early to drive to the airport on time, but that was no problem for them to help with. Our room had a balcony with a view over a town square, and you could see some of the mountains in the distance.
We've stayed here for two nights because we wanted to visit the surroundings. It's a nice hotel, they were refurbishing a part of it, but because we stayed there in a weekend, there wasn't any noise to bother us. The room was clean and big, flat screen TV and air conditioning, kind staff. The breakfast was a bit poor, and we served it in the room, because of covid. Overall I recommend this hotel. ✌🏻
Fantastic location. Stayed for 4 nights for friends wedding. The staff were absutely fantastic even though we arrived rather late in the night due to flight arriving late. All the receptionists spoke very good English and were very very welcoming. Hotel is located in Central Baia Mare, short distance from beautiful cafees, restaurants and town centre. The breakfast could be better, maybe add some continental food as well but overall the French toasts were to die for. Deffinately deserves another star. Would happily return when next in Baia Mare. Thank you for a great stay
I stayed at this hotel for two nights in May 2019. On balance, it is a good choice. Positives: - location, in the ‘civic center’ of the city, whereby most interesting sites are accessible on foot. There are beautiful views of the mountains which appear as they were next door, and overviews of the city; - courteous and efficient staff; - sturdy furniture which is clean and dependable, with good bedding and a large selection of TV channels. Rooms are on the average to spacious side, and many include balconies. The hotel is quiet and well insulated. There is sufficient storage space as well as armchairs and a good desk to work at. Breakfast is ok with the usual scrambled eggs, sausages, some sandwich ingredients, croissants, coffee and juice, replenished often. The minibar is basic with water and soda. Where they could improve is: - the shower, which features fixed head only. This is problematic, as it creates comfort, accessibility and practicality issues, and denotes a low-cost thinking; - toiletries, consisting of a small soap and a little pouch of would-be shampoo. You can buy extra from reception or next door at the non-stop shop, but again it shows skimping on an essential which it would not be hard to provide properly. Nonetheless it is a dependable option for Baia Mare, I slept soundly and I would return.…
I guided a group of germans and spent the first night here. It has all a 3* hotel need to have. It is clean, with friendly staff and we had here an excelent breakfast, like in 4 or 5* hotels. Only to park the bus was a problem.
When you first see this hotel it’s quite reminiscent of the 1970-80s ex communist building. But once inside is really nice. I stayed there for 1 night. It’s close to all amenities with the old centre and market area just 10 minuets away. If staying there and arriving by train suggest you get a taxi Overall I rate this hotel 10/10
The place is very friendly and is really good for young couples, As I was back in the days with one of my ex girlfriends. We had 1 night and it was ok, the facilities were ok and the staff friendly and always smiling.
I was visiting Baia Mare,a beautiful little town in the County of Maramures, because of a business meeting and I couldn't find a better hotel. The rooms are clean and at high standards, with stunning views over the town, very good value for money,a nice variety of food for breakfast and the restaurant offers at a very good price delicious meals. Not to mention, their customer service is outstanding.I'll definitely go back when in town.
Friendly hotel, we could book at last minute and we could have our little pet Malteser dig despite they have a no pet policy. The air conditioner was working at high but didn't cooled down and the wifi was very slow. Beautiful view from the windows with the mountains. Ten minutes walk to the old town and restaurants and bars. Very good breakfast and kind staff.
I have stayed overnight on a business trip in Baia Mare. The hotel was quiet and the room was clean. The room was ok for a 3 star hotel. Position of the hotel was in the center of the city. Breakfast was pretty limited in options. Overall good buy for the price
