Amazing weekend escape We stayed at this hotel for one night and we were completely amazed by this property. It offers a unique transilvanian design with an incredible attention to details, so while you feel like you're in an medieval 5 stars castle on the inside, you have a caribbean vibe on the outside, with all that luxuriant vegetation you fell you're on an exotic island. Apart from the clean rooms and well kept grounds, we were really impressed with the staff. They were all extremely welcoming and nice, always available and with a large smile on. Truly impressing. The food was really good aswell. We will definitely be coming back as soon as we find an available room! https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g304056-d8072739-r762822596-Castel_Transilvania-Baia_Mare_Maramures_County_Northwest_Romania_Transylvania.html#

Visiting this place for the pool and it’s attractions got in a small argument and wanted to talk to the manager who was an absolute jerk! I don’t recommend this place at all. Health and safety concerns! Be aware of food poisoning and hygiene!!

It is the most beautiful, clean, neat, elegant location in all of Transylvania, professional rooms, spacious rooms, luxury is at home. Water at the heated outdoor swimming pool, Buffet breakfast with delicates with homemade cakes. You dabble fine meals, etc. Evening dinner at this location is a treat thanks to the view of the music in the deaf, etc. 10+

The hotel was a Good experience. I organised a conference here and had guests sleeping over the night. The breakfast is very good, diverse, with good coffee. The rooms are comfortable. I appreciate they are eco-friendly (they could improve the food waste management). We took the food left from diner, otherwise it would have been thrown away... Come in the summer, their swimming pool looks great. I appreciated the client service. Ask for an upper floor room in case they have parties. Or just get some ear-plugs.

Quite impressive experience which I highly recommend. I will definitely use Caste Transilvania again it when back in Baia Mare. Located in a quiet area, somewhere at the outskirts of the city, the hotel is only 5 minutes drive from the city centre and comes with its own parking. The hotel itself is quite an interesting experience, designed and decorated as a castle, it combines a nice medieval feeling with the 4 star hotel comfort. The owner and the staff we've interacted with have proved professional, very friendly and helpful. We've had the standard room, comfortable & cozy, with access to a nice terrace. Sleep quality is highly dependent on what is going on in the restaurant, and this was the only setback of the whole experience and reason I can't rate it as 5 stars. In one night the restaurant hosted a party, and the loud music & noise could be heard in the guest rooms until dawn. The restaurant is very nice, with an impressive looking bar, nice decorations, traditional Maramures horinca and great wine. The food menu is very well presented and quite varied. It is a challenge to make up your mind given all the interesting options. Food itself is was generally appreciated, yet cooking is below the level of expectation set by the descriptions in the menu or the four stars rating of the hotel. The hotel comes with an outside pool, which is not open at this time of the year, yet it definitely looks nice. As a summary, almost perfect experience and good value for the level of service. I will definitely try it again when I have the chance and hopefully I can score it 5 stars next time.

The rooms are really luxurious with great views from their balconies/windows. The bathrooms are also luxurious with an excellent touch: the WC has an incorporated bidet which is an awesome addition. Besides, it has the vanity packs with a lot of minor things one might need. We truly enjoyed the room.

An unbelievable combination of primary school history, lack of good taste and pretentious ignorance. The kitschy-est thing that you can see in a life time! Horrible food, small portions, high prices. Only the very nice staff can save the outrageous experience.

We spent 2 nights at Castel Transilvania. Welcome at check-in was very poor. Pool area closed for preparations of a party on the next day. As we knew about the party we spent the evening in town. When we came back we wanted to have a late drink on the terrace on first floor. But they did not want to serve us because of the party. We felt really not welcome and as 2nd class guests.

My first impression when i’ve arrived was of a high class hotel which respects itself and takes the standards on another level. The food was fancy, well-designed and soo tasty, also they have large-sized meal portions. The serving was pretty fast despite the fact that the restaurant was full. Anyway, i was fascinated by the design of the hall and rooms which are made in a classic way, exactly like a castel!!! Also at the breakfast i could enjoy an amazing meal. They had a swedish buffet with a lot of different types of cheese, ham, fruits, salads, yougurt and much more I really enjoyed my sitting here and hope to come back really soon, it was outstanding!
