After 2 weeks of challenging travel, we treated ourselves to a 2 night stay at the eco friendly Lazy Dog Inn and hated to leave. It was the off season and we were the only guests. Wayne, the owner, was an attentive and fascinating host who bent over backwards to make our stay a wonderful experience. The food and company...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at LDI. We were advised not to come during the raining season but have had amazing weather and activities the whole time. Like all other guests, we felt the food and atmosphere were idyllic. Diana and her staff are outstanding.

Went to lazy dog for the day only to do some horseback riding and it was absolutely perfect. Great horses and a beautiful peaceful ride. The inn is beautiful as well with huge gardens, great views and friendly dogs. The ride was followed by a delicious lunch with veggies straight from the garden and much more. Would definitely go back...

Thanks so much for your comments and we are really glad that you enjoyed your day up here, away from the bustle of Huaraz and we were lucky no rain ! The ride was great, the horses were most respectful with great bouts of energy. Some good veggie dishes, a cold beer and there you go ...sweetness. Safe Travels Diana

The Lazy Dog in is an absolute dream. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed by Diana, Wayne, and the lazy dogs. The inn in nestled at the base of the Cordillera Blanca, only 8km and 30 min away from Huaraz. The inn is easily reached by taxi from Huaraz, or for a slightly more involved option, a...

The Lazy Dog Inn is so much more than a bed and breakfast or a mountain eco lodge. It's home in the Andes. The Inn sits at the base of the Cordillera Blanca, 30 minutes outside of Huaraz. Friends and I were only planning to stay for a few nights, which quickly turned into weeks! Wayne and Diana, (owners of...

Many Thanks Bobbi for sharing your thoughts about your recent stay here. It is great to read that you felt that there was great value for your cost. It is a whole living type of experience, a busy place not just with the Inn but the NGO, community, horses , gardening and getting out for runs ..it encompasses the concept...

Our time at lazy dog was one of the definite highlights of our family travels through South America. The owners truly live their values in both their sustainable ecological business practices and their efforts to support and empower the local community. Our stay was inspiring and educational and my girls were able to play freely in a safe and imaginative...

Hello ! So kind of you to take a minute to write about your time here. It is heart warming to know that kids can be free here to explore, engage and take in new experiences. To plant the seed of confidence on horses when young can be such a key to their own personal " I can do it...

My son and I just finished a 5-day visit to Lazy Dog Inn. If there is a place that deserves more than 5-stars this may be it. Our intent was to find a location as a base camp that we could walk to Huascarán National Park without a lot of wasted "windshield time". Turns out that LDI is the perfect...
