If i was to review this hotel in Lima or another place in the US or EU, i would have gone for 2, maximum 3 stars. I'm going for 4 because el huacachinero is to my opinion one of best options if you are looking for a clean and comfortable hotel with a pool in huacachina. There are not many...

On late arrival was given the probably the smallest room as a solo traveller - just enough room for bed and small table. Only one hanger on rail. Room fan worked and was given electric fan as well. Reception staff not helpful. Was told by one I could keep my room on for a few hours at no cost. Then...

We had a nice, comfortable stay at this hotel. It is not a five stars hotels, but it was clean, and the people were amicable and helpful. The beds ere OK, and breakfast was included. I recommend staying here and using their services to go to the sand dunes.

We absolutely loved this place. We arrived late at night, but they still managed to make something really tasty - a quinoa soup. Next morning, what a lovely view from the pool/breakfast area of the huge Sand Dunes, right on the back gate of this hotel. Breakfast was great, sitting outside watching people walking up the Dunes and the hotel...

Booked for two nights with Despegar (do not book with Despegar.com!) for s/157 per night, upon checkout the staff would not honour this price as they only go by pricing from other websites even though I booked through Despegar through a link on Tripadvisor. Shame on Tripadvisior for allowing people to book through this company, they should be removed immediately....

You will pay 50% more than anywhere else if you book your tour with them, don't do it. The staff lied to me saying that it was because the company was more secure while the other people with us paid 50% less like anywhere else ! The lightning in the room made me think of a poor motel near the...

The reception and pool area of El Huacachinero are beautiful - perfect for a relaxing day after traveling through Peru. The hotel upgraded our room to a double suite for free, giving us a larger space with air conditioning and television. We had a nice balcony overlooking the pool. Although it was expensive by Peruvian standards, we were happy to...

This hotel is overpriced for its room, location, service and breakfast. The room was basic, not much furnitures for unpacking luggages and placing clothes and stuff, it was just the bed and a small table. There was no AC just a fan on the ceiling and windows at room and toilet. The bathroom was satisfactory with hot water. If you needed...

Spending the entire night being dive bombed by mosquitoes isn't much fun. It isn't possible to shut the window in the bathroom and the fan isn't strong enough to keep them away. Next day's travel to the islands was ruined as we were so exhausted. Shame for one of the more expensive places in town. Food at the restaurant is...

The hotel has a nice pool and a good view on the dunes. The room we got was ok (lot of mosquitos be warned) we choose the one without AC but in the mid of summer that can be too hot. The price is quite high but the location is very good. For the activities mind that the hotel prices...
