Nice clean modern hotel in great location. The staff are very helpful and polite. I think that most people staying here are only hear for one or two nights because they are going up to Machu Picchu. If you are leaving early and exhausted when you return, then you won't have a problem. We wanted to sleep in after our...

We visited Machu Picchu in early September 2015 and arrived at El Mapi hotel after travelling for 5 days from London via Lima, Cusco and the Sacred Valley with a full itinerary which was a city tour, slat mine, market, fortress or another fortress. So, by the time we arrived at the El Mapi we were given a lovely Superior...

Stayed here for one night while visiting Machu Picchu. Staying in Machu Picchu was a great way to see the Machu Picchu site as we were a fairly short, if exciting, bus journey from the ruins. The hotel is very modern and the restuarant excellent. Our room was large and very quiet, to be recomended while visiting this area.

Sept 15-16 For a short stay of 2 N, El MaPi is well-situated and includes not only free breakfast, but also free dinner. Both were excellent and well-executed, given that this place is very popular with tourists going to Machu Picchu. The service is really attentive. I had the lomo saltado, a variation of Chinese beef stir-fry, one night. It...

Very new, simply styled hotel with a contemporary feel. They pride themselves on their eco credentials. Our room was of average size but very airy with a small but well-equipped bathroom. I was a little surprised there was no plug in the sink as in my opinion this causes you to waste water. Dinner was included in our booking and...

This hotel was the best we stayed at in Peru. As a woman staying with other female friends, it was unusual and great to have a hair dryer that was not attached to the bathroom wall! It was also great to have a mirror outside of the bathroom, so we could dry hair and put on makeup while the others...

This was the nicest hotel we stayed in during our 2 weeks in Peru. The hotel is modern the rooms are a good size, lovely bathrooms, large walk in showers (no niche for soap etc) and the bath robes were an added bonus. The breakfast buffet and omelet station where a real treat and the dinner included was fresh trout...

Don't expect a view out your window, but the room is comfortable and breakfast is good with most of the hot and cold options. It's in a central location with many shops and restaurants right next door. They have a nice seating area outside the bar but DONT forget your bug repellant!

Service was excellent - from check-in, luggage storage, help with the room safe, dining room, bar, etc. This hotel exceeded our expectations. Our room was quiet. Bathrobes were furnished. Dinner was included in the rate, and we were offered 3 choices for each of the 3 courses. Food was good. Overall, this is a great choice for Aguas Calientes.
