We chose this hotel as we wanted a clean room and hot water. We got exactly what what we wanted. Ofcourse, this hotel is a bit on the expensive side for backpacking, but everything in Aguas Calientes is. We stayed in the Junior Suite as it was all that was available and it was very spacious. Plenty of hot water,...

We stayed here the night before we visited Machu Picchu. A gentleman met us at the train station and carried our suitcase, which was very nice since the hotel is at the very top of the main street. The room was average size, the bed was had some dirt or sand in it though and was very short (my feet...

We luxuriated at La Cabana, at the end of a very hard trek from Cusco to Aguas Calientes. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Although they were native Spanish/Quechua speakers, their English was good and communication was never a problem. The hotel was spotlessly clean and very attractive. Sounds from the interior (people on stairs, people talking as they...

Stayed here for two nights. The room was spacious and comfortable. It was a bit of a hike each day to get up to the hotel, but it was close to the main square and a lot of good restaurants. Wifi was available and good as well.

Stayed here for one night. We had a room with 2 double beds (junior suite-which meant we got a small sitting area). Pictures online definitely make it look nicer than it is. Our bathroom was very dated. No hot water handle for sink; cold was only option at the sink. Our toilet got clogged and when I called down, they...

Our company took a trip to Machu Picchu at the end of May. Most of us stayed in the twin room, which was a little noisy since the walls are very thin, but it was reasonably priced and the beds were comfortable. Checking in was easy and the staff were helpful throughout our stay. This hotel is in a great...

We stayed here for one night, the night before getting up at 4am to go to Machu Picchu. Because everyone in Aguas Calientes is also going to Machu Picchu, the hotel prices are off the charts. We paid the most of all our hotel stays in Peru at this place. The room itself was big and spacious. The bathroom was...

We just wanted a clean hotel to spend the night in Aguas Calientes. It was basically that. Nothing fancy and generally acceptable. All accommodations in Aguas Calientes are overpriced and this is no exception. It's all the way at the top of the hill so it's kinda a hike. One thing I did not like is there is almost no...

There is a clear trade off in Aguas Calientes of staying at the bottom of the hill by the train station (noisy) or all the way at the top of the hill (here), where it is more quiet. We were happy to be where we were, but it is a hike each time you come up here. The staff were...

During our 12 day trip in Peru, we stayed in hotels and private apartments. The facilities at Hotel La Cabana were very nice. The beds were comfortable and the shower had hot water all day (that is a rare thing in some of the smaller towns and places in Peru). Our plan to stay in Aguas Calientes the night before...
