Cant fault this hotel. They come and meet you off the train and quickly check you in the generously sized rooms which have most of the necessities apart from the essential morning tea and coffee. Mountains and mist wrap around the hotel so there are great views no matter if you stay at the front or back of the building... More

We stayed at the Taypikala hotel in Aguas Calientes for two nights during our trip to Peru and were thoroughly happy with the hotel's offerings. We arrived on a early morning train ride from Poroy Station outside of Cusco and when we arrived the reception desk offered us an upgrade for a very reasonable amount to a suite with a... More

Decent hotel, pretty centrally located. Good breakfast selection that opens early enough to grab something for the road if you're trying to catch the early buses to Machu Picchu. Balcony was a nice touch. Pricey water, like everything else in Aguas Calientes.

I was in this hotel for approximately 8 hours in total, 6 of which I was asleep! Aguas Calientes is a town you go to before going to the incredible Machu Pichu, rather than a place you set up camp for a few days. Comfy room, friendly staff, good wifi, breakfast was ok. Only downside was that it was really... More

If you're looking for a Hilton this isn't it. But this is a great basic hotel with nice bathrooms, decent beds and decent space. The rooms are clean. It's about a 5 minute walk to the train station. It's located right next to the hot springs. They have an OK breakfast buffet available at 5AM, which is good for the... More

Even though I was travelling on my own I received a room with 2 double beds which meant there was heaps of room! The bathroom was a little dated and the door a bit hard to close but other than this room was alright. Wifi here not the best - had to sit near reception to get it to work... More

I've been on a tour that is hotel-hopping across the sacred valley and Cusco. Taypikala MachuPicchu has to be my favorite. The room was very generous size and everything was clean and comfortable. It was nice to open the window a little and hear the water rushing below.

I travel very light, the location of the hotel up to the hills was willingly to pick up my luggage from the train station. The stunning view looking towards the mountains, room spacious very clean anything you need. The breakfast lots of varieties to choose. Dinner time after I had my soup I was not able to eat my main... More

The location is in the middle of Aguascalientes and the staff couldn't have been nicer eager to help . The hotel has been updated and the rooms are large and comfortable . The breakfast buffet was impressive ,we didn't expect it to be so great . The hotel is very quite and the beds are perfect . If your traveling... More

This is a nice hotel with a nice view & good restaurant but be prepared for a walk to get there from the train station. This is definitely worth it if you want to have a room away from the nightly noise.
