I stayed this hostel for 1 night. I decided to stay here because the price was cheap. The room was not so bad. There were windows in the room, but it wasn't openable so that was a little bit damp.

Given that all the accommodation in Aguas Calientes is ridiculously overpriced, this isnt a bad budget option. We stayed here 1 night pre Machu Picchu. Its just off the main street with all the restaurents and not far from the bus/train station. Our double room was massive and faced the street. Its a side street so it wasnt noisy. The...

The staff was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The hostel is located close to the centre square, train station and bus but out of the main noisy area. Breakfast is served early enough at 430 for people wanting to catch the first bus to Machu Picchu. Windows in our room faced into common area which could be loud if people...

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights whilst we visited Machu Pichu. It was a pretty miserable visit. The room we were given was on the street side, which meant that it was really noisy at night and early in the morning. The door to our room had a space at the bottom, and given that we backed onto...

We had a room with a private bath and a double bed for 1 night in August 2012. The restroom was very small and smelly. We did not try the shower so i cannot comment about the hot water. The faucet had cold water only but that's normal. It did not have any towels for us so bring your own!...

We stayed 2 nights last year (June 2011) in Pirwa hostel Aqua Calliente (we also stayed at Pirwa in Lima, Arequipa and Cuzco). As it is basic accommodation, it is clean and and you have hot - warm water at the shower. At $30 per night for a private room for 2 I do not see many other better options....

Why are you in Aguas Calientes? To see Machu Picchu of course - therefore, for me I am basing this on whether for the amount I paid (100 soled) gives me a decent, en-suite, clean room, a good nights sleep, and close enough for me to catch the bus to Machu Picchu the next day. Answer: Yes on all fronts...

We stayed two nights and changed rooms as it was one of the worst nights sleep we have had in our year traveling. You can hear EVERYTHING, next doors shower, people talking in the corridors, coming back at night, having breakfast. Even a room on the top floor did not escape the noise. If you don't take breakfast at 4.30am,...

It's not a 5 star hotel, of course, but if all you need is a clean bed and hot shower, then that's the place for you. They even had 10% discount for the ones who hit "like" on their FB page, don't know if that's still available.
