Detailed Reviews
I was recommended this property on the Island by a partner in Lagos for my second stay in Lagos. I stayed there 7- 13 March, leaving just before the lockdown. I was not expecting much as I was on business and knew that I would spend much of my time outside the hotel. We checked in very late close to midnight on a Sunday evening. The bar was open but the restaurant had closed down. We asked the Bar Lady if we could have some simple to eat, we would not mind even chips. She called the chef who came back to prepare something for us. The room was good, very good value for the price. Breakfast is delicious and you have the choice to choose between buffet or served at table . The staff from the front office to the restaurant or house-keeping are just a delight to deal with. Always going out of their way to please you. The lobby is very nice. They also have a swimming pool with a bar and TV Screens. You can technically watch TV while swimming.
They have managed to create a nice refreshing cool green area around the pool which is wonderful to relax after a day's work within a city location. The Roof Top bar is also amazing but I am not sure if it operates daily. Great Sunset Views.
The place is very accessible and you can get Uber easily within minutes of ordering.
All in all, I wish to thank the Staff and Management for looking after me and their guests so well. I will definitely stay with you again next time I am in Lagos.

Let me start with the building and deco. On point, for a boutique hotel. Close your eye and open them, you feel you are in a decent hotel anywhere in Europe. Clean and maintained well.
I was mostly impressed with the customer service the staff gave. Always polite (not the standard in Lagos). They would go the extra mile to ensure clients needs were met.
We had a series of mishaps on the day of the event. Nothing to do with the hotel. But the staff rally round the guest to accommodate us and help in anyway they could. Including helping people into their dresses.
They stepped in where established older hotels were not accommodating.
If you want an hotel in the heart of Lagos with great customer service choose this hotel.
I hope they can keep up this standard and set examples for other boutique hotels in Lagos.
Food was delicious also. They have expanded their menu. Anything thing you want may also be sourced.
The only snag was if you are used to a quite environment. The windows are not sound proof enough. But if you are like me who can sleep through anything, you will be fine.

The hotel is decent, but for a female you'll struggle as there is literally no applicable lighting to enable the make up process.
The wet rooms are a big inconvenience as the water goes EVERYWHERE, there is no design to accommodate the drainage needed.
Lastly its next door to a night club, so if you like to sleep before 4am, this is NOT the place for you.
The breakfast range and flexibility to have the breakfast in your room was lovely!

As you enter in the lobby you start feeling nervous about the hotel.
Rooms are smelling bad, dirty towels, bed sheets dirty and this was the feedback got from other team members stayed with me in the hotel.
Lotsssss of mosquitos....
Breaksfast is a disaster, you literally have to show them everyday a picture from google which egg type we want.
Not worth paying this much and staying here.
Simply avoid

TL;DR: money not well spent.
i'm only giving them two stars because of their restaurant, the meals were very decent. everything other thing was below average.
1. we had no towels in the room and we had to literally beg before they were brought to us after 4 hours. we had to complain physically before this was done
2. the toilet flush didn't work. again, we had to go complain physically before it got fixed.
3. the heater barely worked but at this point we were already over everything.
4. we paid an extra fee for breakfast for two (on their website) but when it was time for food, they insisted it was breakfast for one. we had to go complain physically and show proof of payment.
why did we have to physically complain all the time? their phone line didn't work (we could receive calls but we couldn't make calls.) we let them know but they were unable to fix it.
it makes one wonder why they offer a service where they are clearly incapable of handling efficiently.

This place puts on a good front but scratch the surface and it’s actually a nightmare. Completely clueless staff. Terrible food. Awful service. Not to mention the constant stream of working women in & out all day.
Don’t bother coming here, it more hassle than it’s worth.

Went to Rue 80 bar and lounge for a glass of wine after dinner down the road with a friend. Loved the scene and the ambience. Beautiful place though one of the waiters was a bit forgetful. Gave us the menu and forgot to come back to take our orders. They have a decent wine list which I loved.

After staying at Maison Farenheit I realised that Its not always about international brand hotel chains.
This is a new hotel In the heart of the Victoria island district and is no more than 6 months old. The hotel has a strong aesthetic appeal, the interior reminds of the quirky art galleries you find in Shoreditch area of London. I got the standard room which was quite small, but the bathroom was large with modern amenities and frosted glass door that could be opened both ways. My room honestly felt like I walked into an Ikea show room, it was super comfy with a landscape portrait above the bed, window blinds were high quality Venetian. I was impressed with the service, It exceeds the Lagos standard. The calamari at the restaurant was just perfect!! .
MAKE SURE YOU VISIT THE ROOF TOP LOUNGE for lovely views of Victoria Island after sunset and a good chapman cocktail :)
The pool downstairs has inbuilt flat screens and seaside style sun loungers with parasols. For all my shisha lovers the shisha guy is also ACE
This is the closest you can get to UK service anywhere in Lagos, this hotel has the whole package, and you can actually see what you are paying for!
Downers: I had an issue with photography here, I got permission from both the supervisor and general manger prior to taking photos with my DSLR bridge, (they were unaware I was writing a commentary) only to be told by another general manager that I cannot take pictures of the rooftop bar area which was quite embarrassing. According to him night time photography is unheard of in Lagos. The true beauty of the rooftop can only be seen at night..... So if you wish to capture your own images make sure you get permission from ALL senior staff prior to commencing. And then double check lol
OTHER than the issue above I would rate MF a 10/10.

Have stayed at this hotel twice. It has a nice venue and compared to hotels in Lagos, it's a great option. However, in my last stay, the room stunk! They sent someone to spray a bit of Febreeze but did nothing else. Took 45 minutes to do check in because apparently, they could not find my reservation, I provided confirmation number, send them the reservation email yet nothing.
Restaurant menu could use a bit of an upgrade, there are not many choices and prices do not match the choices.
Lastly, they offered airport pickup when we were booking, I emailed them requesting such service and they replied back immediately with the number and name of the driver who will pick us up. The day of our trip, I decided to call the driver to make sure he will be at the airport to which he replied he was out of town and was not able to pick us up. Luckily I met someone before in Lagos and were able to find a backup plan right away but I can't imagine how this would be for someone who has never been in Lagos before or knows no one! I also was lucky to be already in Nigeria in a different town and could call the driver to confirm, imagine if I were in another country? Lagos airport is not very tourist friendly so it is chaotic if you have never been. Hotel could improve communication channels among themselves!

Sadly did not stay here (although I will next time) but came to the Rooftop for a late night drink. Fun and great place to be, highly recommend it to anyone in Lagos and not just for the service but it's so stylish!
