Detailed Reviews
I lodged in this hotel back in October last year, and I had mixed feelings. I decided to try them out again in February to make up my mind, and it's a very clear NO.
First of all, when I arrived, I spent like five minutes at the gate honking, but no gateman was available. This consistent unavailability of gateman continued to happen through out my 2-day stay in this hotel. It was tiring. But that's not even the worst part.
The worst part of my stay has to be the receptionist. The last time I came, the guy that welcomed me was really nice and courteous, until a dismissive lady took over the next day. This time around, there was no welcome package receptionist, the lady that welcomed me (different from the last time lady) was just downright very rude and annoying throughout my stay. The moment I walked in, she had issue with the amount I'm paying (10,800) and kept murmuring out loud to my hearing that "their fee shouldn't be nothing less than 12k blah blah".
Throughout the rest of my stay, requests were not being attended to on time. It was practically as if I was homeless and they were giving me accommodation for free.
On the day of my departure, I called the receptionist in the morning that I would appreciate a 1 hour extra time to checkout, which she agreed to... Only for me to show up at the desk less than 1 hour after the checkout time, and she bills me to pay 2,000. She didn't inform me of this charge (even though she claimed that she did over the phone), and it's very silly to ask for an extra charge on a less than an hour overtime. This is the very first time that any hotel would do this in my extensive travels. Anyway, I'd had it with her nonsense, and I just wasn't going to argue (she'd had problem with the amount I was paying right from start, so not surprising that she's looking for cunning means to get extra 2,000), I paid her the money in cash (even though there were stickers all over the reception against taking cash payment).
I'm sure she didn't deliver the money to management, but I don't care... It was part of the last naira on me, which I was going to discard anyway. Generally, my stay here was just really terrible and the receptionist and her horrible attitude contributed 65% to this terrible experience. Definitely not returning here ever again!
If you value your comfort, you should really avoid this hotel completely. It's in a good location, but unfortunately, the staff are not willing to maximize that opportunity to get loyal customers. They don't care about their image and the little details either. Just avoid.

The major advantage of this hotel is its location. It nestled in a generally expensive neighbourhood, so it offers value at an affordable price. Thumbs up for that.
During my stay, things generally worked as they're supposed to, except for the faulty lighting in my room, which the staff were unable to fix for the 2 days I stayed at the hotel. Apart from that, everything else was decent; the bed was comfortable, the internet works (not fast, but good enough for work e-mails and calls), the breakfast was okay (although no options).
The staff was generally nice, but the receptionists were a mix bag. When I arrived, I met a guy who was exceptionally nice. Even when he couldn't resolve issues, he remained very courteous and professional. The next day, a lady took over, and her energy just wasn't welcoming. She kept sounding flippant, disinterested, and sometimes leaning towards rude. I don't know what's up with her, do you owe her salary?
