fair level of services for reasonable price.
Cleaning service guys were not always wearing their face masks covering their nose and mouth - even when cleaning the room, which is not very alright. This could be improved on the side of the hotel.
Guests in the restaurant were mostly ignoring face masks, which is the sign of their tolerance and respect towards other guests, on the other hand the hotel staff in restaurant could have reminded guests anytime (as staff were present in the restaurant all the time) but they did not - which is the issue of the hotel (staff doing their job well and keeping guests within limits of appropriate behaviour in interior of the hotel).

This hotel is in a good location for Lagos airport. The staff are attentive and professional. My earlier comment should be taken seriously by management: all rooms should be presentable!
I think the restaurant prices are very much on the high side for what is offered.

The hotel lived up to its name. Very welcoming staff and peaceful atmosphere.
Clean environment, dutiful staff members (always having a smile to share) spacious and world class standard rooms. I lodged in one of the business suites and enjoyed my stay without a doubt. They've got very good facilities available lfor example clean standard swimming pool, volley ball ground, table tennis etc all in a spacious environment.
Welcome hotel Lagos is where I will love to stay again when I visit Lagos Nigeria. It's the closest hotel to the international airport which comes very handy considering the Lagos traffic!.
You can easily get to the airport from the hotel within 5 mins!
Their food is very tasty, effective security personnel. It's a place you feel safe and secure without the distraction of Lagos energetic crowd and boisterous environment.
Thank you guys for your well appreciated hospitality.

This hotel is welcoming. The rooms and beds are great. Close to the airport too. The restaurant is good and always willing to accommodate your wishes. The staff is always helpful. Of many Lagos hotels, I recommend this if you're about to travel again. Highly recommended

Response from Jeff F, Director of Sales at Welcome Centre Hotels
Responded 13 Mar 2017
It is the Hotel’s position that this review is part of a SMEAR campaign on the hotel’s reputation. This is the 2nd fabrication of actual events that the reviewer has written albeit under different names unfortunately Tripadvisor’s review editors are unable to always catch when reviews break their own guidelines even when pointed out to them. The Hotel maintains its position as the hotel sincerely doubts the veracity of this ‘review’ for three main reasons….firstly the story changed frequently e.g. the amount of money missing inflated on a daily basis. Secondly the guest’s identity could not be fully verified as he checked into the hotel with dubious name, address and email. Thirdly the guest was unable to pay his hotel bills throughout his entire say and when pressed on the 4th day for payment conveniently then claimed his passport and money were missing (eventually his bill was settled by third party). Promptly the matter was referred to the police who conducted a thorough investigation looking at our housekeeping, security, visitor and CCTV logs and they found that no hotel staff accessed his safe or even entered his room during the period of the alleged incident. Police came to the same conclusion we gave him when he made the initial claim, that if his items were really missing, it is most likely the ‘well documented’ various ladies of the night who visited him during his stay. What has further added to our doubts about the reviewer is that the police are now unable to reach him for further clarification and as a result the police investigation has now turned on him as ‘their’ suspicion is that this was a possible confidence scam. The hotel has now circulated his given ID and details to other hotels in the state to prevent them from falling into any such ploys. The ‘funny’ act he apparently noticed was the housekeepers doing their jobs cleaning his room. As we reiterated to him the purpose of the DO NOT DISTURB sign he didn’t use. Our hotel prides itself on its integrity of the management, staff and the effectiveness of our security features and staff. We have over 62 CCTV HD recording cameras covering all public areas of the hotel. We also have police officers posted 24/7 at the hotel. Disappointing as an event as this, we leave it up to the good judgement of the readers to make their minds up. We do not ‘target’ people. We look after all our guests and we will continue to provide excellent customer service, serene comfort, safe lodgings and a friendly smile to all who lodge under our roof.

Friendly staff... Restaurant choices very limited... large rooms and beds, good conditions for Nigeria, The Welcome Centre Hotel offers good service. Hotel is very close to Lagos airport - which makes this a must-stay considering the traffic situation in Lagos. Taxi service always available

I stayed at this hotel in early February, 2017. My United States passport and $5000 was stolen from the safe lock in my assigned room. The management and the hotel staff are the only one who can access my room and the lock in my absence. I was so devastated and angry about the terrible experience I had to go through. The trouble of having to go to the U.S embassy for temporary passport and asking people to send money to me. I still can't believe it. PLEASE stay away!

I have stayed at this hotel (not by choice) more than a month. The staff is great mostly in the lobby and bar area. at the restaurant not so great. The bed is the most horrible in the world. I see no difference between the floor and the bed except the bed is off the ground and have bed sheet and blankets. It is the hardest bed you have ever slept on.
Breakfast is the laughable. I believe they call it buffet really a couple off hot dogs and bacon that is grilled on dirty grill ( you can see all the burned ash and charcoal all over it) the pancake is so thin and dry looks like dirty ice cream cone. and most of the food is cold. You can order from the kitchen and only God knows what comes out of there. I will leave it at that....
The manager don't seem to take any responsibility about any complaint. He gets defensive instead of being apologetic.
The elevator is out almost daily. The TV and internet is really not even worth mentioning that it even exist.
All in all I did not like it. It need a lot more than roof and wall to be a hotel.

Only stayed for 2 nights but the safety inside the complex was very secure. The upstairs bar had an outside smoking area where you could see the delights of the Lagos ciaos way of life. The Traffic outside is 24 hours a day and very closely located to the Airport. Food was spot on.

Let the hotel know if you would like them to arrange transit from the airport to the hotel. They use Hertz Nigeria for the transit and cost is N3,800 charge. They will need your flight details, date and arrival time to book your transit for you.
