I spent a few days at Finca Montania Sagrada and enjoyed it so much that I returned later in my trip for another stay with friends. It's best to plan to stay a few days because it's an hour from the ferry. You'll want to stay a few days also because it is so beautiful there. The location is amazing...

Our stay at the finca was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. As you travel about the world, you meet wonderful people, see magnificent natural beauty, relax, have adventures and have fun. This was one of those stays where all those very best things about travel came together in one place. The people at Finca Montania Sagrada were wonderful--the owners, staff, and our...

I would not stay anywhere else! The owners go out of their way to be gracious, helpful and accommodating . My cabin was beautiful and comfortable, with great views of the lake and both Volcanoes. The Finca is tranquil and serene. The food is excellent and ample . The horse riding is the best on the island. I especially appreciated how...

Its a nice calm place to stay especially if you plan to visit volcano maderas . The trail starts right at the bottom of the driveway and close enough to San Ramon falls. The owners are helpful . The driveway up is rough and bring flash light if you plan to walk up at night .

Beautiful setting - really peaceful with gardens and lots of space between the cabins. 5 min walk from the road so bring a torch or we used the lights on our mobile phones but it felt very safe. The cabins themselves have some lovely touches - the safe cabinet, kettle with tea and coffee and and anti bug plug. Breakfasts...

I had slightly mixed feelings about Finca Montania- it's a beautiful place and certainly to a different standard than other places in the country, especially in such a rural area. The food is excellent. On the downside, I found the location to be a bit too remote. You're 400m off the main road up a really bumpy muddy track. Which...

Hola Natalie, so sorry you had the impression we did not care about you, we always do our best to please everybody. For sure we were worried about the water as it seemed it would have taken days before they could restore the pipeline after the land slide. So we were a little tense thinking about our customers here and...

Stayed 5 relaxing nights with our 5.5 year old daughter. Loved the beautiful location only 10 minutes walk into town to a few nearby restaurants and local culture. Clean and comfortable cabins in beautiful gardens. Howler monkeys nearby. We loved having the domestic animals around especially their dog Chopa, lounged around with us on our front porch. Food was good....

We were not supposed to go there but we met backpackers on the way and they talked so good about that place we had to try it too. And WAW! It is a bit off the beaten tracks, still easy to get there with those 4x4 taxi, but that's why you definitly want to go there! There is no sound...

This was the nicest place of our Nicaragua and Costa Rica vacation. We stayed here for 3 nights in November. Our room had a private balcony with amazing views of the surrounding nature and volcanoes. We loved the dogs and cats, but I guess it's good to realize that this is a farm and many animals live here. Breakfast included...

A few hours before we arrived at Finca Montania Sagrada, the electrical box blew meaning no electricity for at lest 24 hours (which is when we left to find new accommodations). This is not why I give it a poor rating though (I understand this was not under their control) but it certainly doesn't help. Pros: -The property is absolutely...

Hola Frank we are so sorry you had such a bad experience at our finca. We were unaware that it would have taken such a long time to fix our transformer. This May was the hottest month we have ever experienced here in Ometepe and we live here since 7 years. None of us (owners) have a mosquito net, we...
