After our bus ride from Fes to merzouga, me and my two friends faced a dark, empty and cold merzouga at 5am. In contrast to nearly everyone else in this bus, we were the only one without any plan or accommodation. Then we met this American guy, who offered to asks his host, if he could host my group as...

Ahmed is probibly the best host you can meet in Marocco. He picked us up from the bus station and showed us his world in Merzouga. The rooms are clean and friendly, the breakfast perfect and his offered tours with camels and a night stay in the dessert awesome. The most impressive thing is his lovely care about his guests....

I came to stay for 3 nights and ended up staying a whole week. The location is far more relaxed than nearby Merzouga without any touts or hassling at all. The house itself was kept very clean at all times (e.g. right after a sandstorm it took just a few minutes to clean up the mess). The overall hospitality of...

I'm almost torn at leaving a review for Chez les Habitants as I kind of want to keep this little slice of paradise all to myself. Ahmed the owner is what makes this place. He is a gentleman and an inspiration. Talking to him and listening to his stories is like listening to Yoda. The place itself is fantastic. So...

We booked with Ahmed a night in the desert. The house is located in a small village Tiharien next to Merzouga. It is just few minutes walk from the dunes. There is no hotels or restaurants around so you have a fantastic feeling of living in a real small village with real local people. At the evening Ahmed's family invited...

The stay around the dessert was the nicest part of our trip to Morocco. We stayed three days but wished it could be longer. Ahmed fits perfectly that place! Ive visited this place somehow spontaneously and got the most heartwarming welcome I've ever seen! The freshly prepared dishes and the tea are really good and listening to the stories of the host makes it taste even better :) Very clean showers and toilets. Massive recommendation!
