I stayed at Dar Gabriel in June for 2 nights and it was fantastic. The hosts were so warm and welcoming you felt right at home. I found the catering to be of a very high standard and the rooms very comfortable. I would love to stay here again and for much longer next time.

I recently went back to stay at Dar Gabriel with friends and did the walk to Azilane, as well as physically invigorating the views were truly stunning. Once we arrived we were well looked after and catered for, we stayed overnight in "Gite Azilane." I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for fun and adventure.

We dropped into the cute city of Chefchaouen for just one day and stayed overnight at Dar Gabriel. The room was one full size bed and one twin mattress on the floor. It was fairly comfortable. The bathroom was an open design common in Morocco but couldn't figure out why the floor was perpetually wet. When we got there we... More

Hello Kat I am so sorry about your lack of welcome when you arrived. This is not usually our style, and it also coincided with our TripAdvisor certificate of excellence being awarded! Some significant changes are in hand, which should resolve this happening again. Best wishes ps I have just stayed in the same room as you did, and the... More

Dar Gabriel is a wonderful respite from the busy medina. We stayed in a room just off the terrace that was clean and quite comfortable. Each morning we awoke to fresh-squeezed orange juice, bread, jam, cheese and coffee. It was an absolute joy to stay there.

Great little hotel in the Chefchaouen medina. The terrace has a really amazing view of the medina and the mountains. Our room was on the roof level, so we just opened our door and stepped out to the view of the blue medina with the mountains rising behind it - what a way to wake up. The breakfast is served... Dar Gabriel is a very friendly and relaxing place to stay. The dar is owned by a family, who live there themselves. The lady of the house makes you some nice breakfast every morning, you can see her baking pancakes in the kitchen. You don't get a key to the dar, you can enter and leave as you please; just... The house is lovely and cozy, our room (on the terrace, nice view!) was spacious and had a huge bed, the location is strategic to walk the medina, the breakfast was just great and the staff is really kind, friendly and helpful. However, our stay was a little unpleaseant due to the bad weather. We were there for two nights... More

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at Dar Gabriel last week! Pen took our booking over email, and provided us with clear instructions on how to find the riad. Ben and his family made us feel most welcome, and we had a very comfortable twin room by the terrace with fantastic views across the peaceful blue town. Breakfast... More
