The hotel is quite good for Malian standards. The rooms are clean enough, local food is always fresh and good quality. A/C working good. Staff are kind and helpful. There you can buy souvenirs. I like this place.
Timbuktu is not the tourist resort it used to be: while the security situation is not bad, logistics (electricity, water etc.) is still a issue.
Hotel Hendrina Khan has managed to keep open and to maintain standards, mainly due to the hotel manager.
