We stayed in the second room closest to the beach and were delighted by the views/the environs around the chalet. Kak Ros was also a lovely host. But the room was in a deplorable state. First impressions: musky smell, no ventilation, windows that couldn't open, no air conditioning (a REALLY dusty standing fan was provided), dull lighting – it was... More

We booked this place to avoid Kapas Island Resort. As robM1383BY said - the place is a little beat down but its very laid back. I like the charm of the rooms, that made it feel like we were between 'glamping'. We had 3 rooms - Rose 1 & Rose 2 - very basic but couldnt ask for much since... More

We booked this place based on reviews that we'd seen and because there isn't much info about other places on Kapas. It was quite pricey and although we expected accommodation on Kapas to be basic we were horrified at what we found. The room we were in was absolutely filthy - we were in a small room which was really... More

Place is a little ramshackle and very laid back but we loved it. Room could do with upgrading but facilities all worked fine, had a mosquito net and fan. What is really outstanding here is the location, the food and the people. Last of the developments, between the jungle and beach, great snorkeling just off shore and easy access to... More

After confirming our reservations through phone for a lovely Lotus Villa months beforehand, our reservations were "lost" upon arrival and not only could they not provide us with a similar room, we had to wait a few hours for our replacement - which turned out to be extremely disappointing, dark, stuffy and dirty. The food was alright, acceptable - but... More

A friend and I visited for two nights. We initially booked a fan room but chose to upgrade to an aircon room. The room was large, clean and cold. The shower was as good as could be expected on the island. The food was very good but what made this a great stay was the staff who were helpful and... More

Some of the most recent positive reviews seem very comprehensive and realistic. The constructive criticism seems well thought out and could be a great help with the ongoing challenge of hosting guests from all walks of life in such natural surroundings. Here's my take on the pluses and minuses at Qimi: Pros -a resort uniquely blending into the natural surroundings... More

Oh my gosh.. Not sure where to start. Firstly by saying by far the nicest place on kapas. We never really thought about coming here, the lonely planet book didn't say much about it apart from it being very basic so it was only because KBC was full and captains longhouse was too far away that we went to qimis....
