I was only in Miri for 2 days and stayed here at Minda (this place is now called Cocottage Guesthouse now as well). the dorm is fine. there is aircon all day which is always appreciated, but no free locker options. it is also across the street from two very popular, very loud bar/clubs. If you want to have a...

I was here in Sept 2013. I spent two nights and the experience exceeded my expectation. Although the noise from the night clubs could be very distracting for light sleepers but it was very easy to find places from here. It was very easy to find place to eat, transportation to go around the city and I was very happy...

Very suitable for staying place not far from big shopping malls and nightlife. Although relatively quiet at night. Comfy beds, hot shower, toasts for breakfast. Nothing exceptional, but everything in order. And special thanks to nice girls working there, and Willy-the guide, who provided valuable information on travel further to Bario.

Nice dorm room with clean sheets except mine smelt like burning rubber, not good when your trying to relax. Good balcony area to get views and chill. PS I LEFT MY NIKON CAMERA ON MAR 16, IF THE GUESTHOUSE OR SOMEONE READS THIS, PLEASE EMAIL: hunter1616_ @ hotmail.com... Thanks!

The staff was very friendly and help us to find taxi and buses. The wifi connection was very good. The rooms are not too small and shared bathrooms and toilets was clean. It's a good option to stay if you go to Miri. If you stay here you should avoid the restaurant just downstairs, they change their prices for the...

Perfect place for an overnight stay in Miri. Very friendly and helpful owner. Dorm room was only 20RM with great AC. Bring earplugs if you're not fond of the noise from the adjacent karaoke bar. It didn't bother me though as I slept right through it.

First of all: Miri doesn't offer much and therefore one night should be one than enough. And that's what the Minda guesthouse (no sign at the door!) is designed for. The double rooms are equipped with a bed, a stool and a tiny table. No reading lights, nothing. The duvet we were given was dirty and had burn holes in...

“If you do want to stay here, make sure you call or email them directly (if you've booked indirectly through a hostel site) to confirm the booking. I can't guarantee this will get you a good room, but it will mean there's more chance they'll actually be a room for you when you arrive.”

“On the second floor, there are two rooms. At first, we stayed in a room with metal bunk beds and they were really squeaky! The room next to it had wooden bunk beds and they weren't squeaky at all so if you want a peaceful night, then get the wooden bunk beds!”
