Like many of the reviews say this place use to be really nice and now it is ok. We stayed in one room our first dray that was much nicer than the 2nd but the same price, which was odd. Wifi is good and pool is nice. The location is great to go to the orangutan sanctuary but this area...

We arrived today the 19th of April and what an amazing location in the middle of the rainforest with wonderful wildlife and scenery. The lodgings are standard and comfortable somewhat like those frequented as a child with school, it's clean and presentable but could do with a good face lift and making the walkways safer. The food is pretty much...

Room basic but did have working AC and electric shower. No fridge, TV was limited and wifi patchy. Not the reason I chose this hotel and I'm sure that will go for most people booking. The location is perfect for nature lovers and the pool is an added bonus. A few minutes walk from the Orangutan and Sunbear rehabilitation centres...

We stayed here a group of three friends for four nights. The first night we stayed in a dormitory room which had shared toilets which were very poor and evidently not used often, with had no toilet paper, broken shower heads and hooks in the shower and lots of mosquitos flying around. The next night we stayed in a four...

The staff were very helpful and friendly and we enjoyed the pool but the rooms are quite run-down and not very appealing. It is a beautiful setting and it is nice to be so close to the orangutans and the sun bears. However, the food was uninspiring and it wasn't really a very comfortable place to stay.It really needs a...

It used to be such a nice resort till the overly stingy miser Chinese owners let it delapitate. Staff friendly but owner and management not. Walk 1 km further find the new nice forest resort. Much better

We travelled by bus from Kota Kinabalu, 6 hours, and saw how the forests in Saba have been decimated for the sake of palm tree plantations. It was quite shocking. The Jungle Resort is part of a protected enclave of forest and borders the Orang utan sanctuary. Were it not for the strimmed grass you feel like you are amongst...

One of the larger resorts in Sepilok, and very spread out (around a five-minute walk from the farthest building to the restaurant). Clean, good value rooms, from cheap fan dorms to A/C doubles etc. (170 MYR for an A/C double incl breakfast). No WiFi in the rooms, just the common area. Nice small swimming pool behind the last building. The...

Check-in was done nicely early in the morning however be prepared that the rooms are really basic. Their breakfast is as basic with only hard boiled eggs and on our request for a fried egg we received a BIG NO. The next day we went to a resort nearby and enjoyed the BF much better. Yes the location is good...

I was really excited to stay here and get into a really lovely jungle stay. The location is perfect for the sunbears, proboscis monkeys, orangutans and the rainforest discovery centre (go it's excellent, see orangutans without paying the sanctuary price) and the price to stay is good too. It's not noisy so sleeping is easy. The surrounding area of your...
