We did the 2N3D package with our two children (10 and 7). We had an amazing time, saw orangutans from the staircase and lots of other animals from the boat cruises, slept well, ate beautifully and were very well cared for by Jason and Gert and their wonderful staff. I cannot recommend this small hotel highly enough! Friendly, laid-back, quiet...

Amazing setting! The walk up the 500 steps is well worth it! Jason is super friendly and knowledgeable. Saw lots of monkeys including an orangutan in the wild by the lodge. Very quiet and relaxing, have a fair amount of free time so bring books and cards.

The last frontier resort is quite special, situated up high (600 steps) Gert picked us up from sepilok and drove us to his place, along the way we spoke about all sorts from deforestation to how long he's been running the place! The rooms are clean and lovely but the food is even better. Absolutely delicious. Jason was always around...

We stayed here for 3 days and were astounded at the location and passion for life that Gert and Jason showed. This really IS the last frontier and is a display of two guys vision to share this magnificent part of the world with travellers. Leave your internet, modern technolgy and luggage(!) behind and ascend the 600 steps to this...

This place provides an opportunity to expierience and appreciate what is left of the Rain Forest and its inhabitants. With good quality accommodation and great food its location and knowledgable, friendly team really set this place apart. There's no guarantee of what wildlife you'll see (their wild it's not a zoo, that's the point!) but you'll definitely have an expierience...

Top location, we will never forget going up the 600 stairs! You will experience the real rainforest and if you are lucky an orangutang will be having lunch in a tree a couple of meters from you. Gert provided the best service, picking us up at Sepilok and keeping us entertained with beers and wine and a lot of the...

What a great weekend we spent here. It really is 'the last frontier'. During our stay we managed to spot orang-utans, proboscis monkeys and a red leaf monkey and we even spotted a crocodile on one of our river cruises. The food is great and the open air restaurant is real experience. Jason and Gert were great hosts and really...

Everything was as we expected it to be, except the food. but more on that later. The stairs were fine, there was a river cruise each night, and a nature walk from the steps of our room. And the rest of the time we spent relaxing and napping. which was exactly what we went there for. but the food!! wow,...

This little lodge on a hill top in the middle of the forest - we even saw orang utan on the stairs - you get to enjoy the jungle. Nice western Asian fusion food, nice river cruises for wild life spotting, Jason or Gett will arrange everything for you, so all you have to do is enjoy and lay back....
