We stayed here in November, and what an amazing experience it was! Gert and Jason made sure we were well looked after: The food was delicious (those pancakes!) and the accommodation was really comfortable, we even had jungle views from our bedroom window. What will always remain with us was the passion these guys have for the rainforest around them.... More

Thank you very much. We did one month trip with motorbikes and our two children across Borneo, Malaysian part. Back home now, we are keeping a fantastic paradise wind of our stay with you... The best quality food tasted in Malaysia, the most intentioned team, The only bad thing (and I'm not kidding!) was that it was too short !... More

Located on top of a hill in the middle of rainforest, you are bound to encounter wildlife. There are several orangutans roaming around the area which is pretty unique. You may or may not see them though. At night a lot of different moths and bats come out, some of which are beautiful. There is the occasional boar that comes... More

We had a wonderful few days at Last Frontier. It is situated apart from all the other lodges in the area on top of the hill, which is great for trekking (where we saw an orang-utan). The rooms are nice, as is the restaurant. The highlight (other than the remote location) is the food. Jason is great cook and spoils... More

Lovely place to stay, uniquely based on top of the hill with beautiful views and nice and large basic rooms. Gert and Jason are incredible nice and passionate people and are very knowledgeable about the area. They enjoy telling their guests all about the environment and the animals that belong in it, and showed us beautiful pictures of the animals... More

We did the 2N3D package with our two children (10 and 7). We had an amazing time, saw orangutans from the staircase and lots of other animals from the boat cruises, slept well, ate beautifully and were very well cared for by Jason and Gert and their wonderful staff. I cannot recommend this small hotel highly enough! Friendly, laid-back, quiet... More

Amazing setting! The walk up the 500 steps is well worth it! Jason is super friendly and knowledgeable. Saw lots of monkeys including an orangutan in the wild by the lodge. Very quiet and relaxing, have a fair amount of free time so bring books and cards.

The last frontier resort is quite special, situated up high (600 steps) Gert picked us up from sepilok and drove us to his place, along the way we spoke about all sorts from deforestation to how long he's been running the place! The rooms are clean and lovely but the food is even better. Absolutely delicious. Jason was always around... More

We stayed here for 3 days and were astounded at the location and passion for life that Gert and Jason showed. This really IS the last frontier and is a display of two guys vision to share this magnificent part of the world with travellers. Leave your internet, modern technolgy and luggage(!) behind and ascend the 600 steps to this... More
