Me and my wife spent our honeymoon at La Petite Traversee, we had a wonderful time. The hotel consists of rustic chalets, which are comfortable and clean. You can relax in comfort by the sea, get a tan, whilst trying the lovely house cocktails. The pace of island life is slow which is perfect if you are subject to the...

We work in Mandritsara, a remote town in Northern Madagascar far from the coast, so coming here was a wonderful change from the heat and dry vegetation. A warm welcome, enjoyable communal meals with excellent food, simple but good accommodation, hot running water, and a great beach within easy walk. The island has no cars and we had to travel...

Myself and my wife, had the pleasure of spending time on the island of ill Aux Nattes at the hotel called Le Petite Traversee, and that was what it was.... A small crossing, from South Africa. Arranging flights from SA, is limited, and is quite expensive, ( no idea why) and the flight on air madagascar (the one we opted...

My wife and I traveled here for our honeymoon, if you are considering this as your honeymoon destination consider first that electricity is limited between 5:30 pm and 10:00 pm, you'll dine with other guests at one long table, the walls of your bungalow, interior and exterior, are super thin(made of palm fronds), the toilette and shower have also only...

I've stayed at  La Petite Traversee for  8 days and I would like to stay longer if I could. It's a wonderful place! Hotel situated just across channel from Ile Saint Marie on tiny Ile aux Nattes. Ile aux Nattes is really small - you can walk around in 3 hours, and this walk is really beautiful - white sand...

I wont repeat everything great that others have already said but needless to say this was my favourite place that we stayed during our trip to Madagascar. I loved the whole vibe, our cosy beachfront bungalow, that you can walk around the corner to the best snorkelling I've ever done right off the beach, the food and cocktails, and finally...

My wife and I were heading to another hotel (more expensive) on Ile aux Nattes. We saw this place from the canoe and told the boatman to drop in for a look first. I had read of it beforehand. After a look around we decided to stay for 4 days. Just beautiful. Ockie was a great host and the staff...

La Petite Traversee was everything we needed without knowing beforehand what that exactly was! We're a young couple (26) from Amsterdam who decided to relax a little bit on Ile aux Nattes/Nosy Bohara after a month of travelling mainland Madagascar before flying home. I've never been more relaxed in my life! The beachfront bungalows are set in a lovely tropical...

I agree with all of the superlatives that others have posted. This place is amazing. We were there in October 2012. It was me (in my early 40's), my wife (in her mid 30's), my son (7), and my mother-in-law (late 50's) and we thought it was amazing. We're a well-travelled group, and all thought this might be the perfect...

We are Canadians living in the capital of Madagascar. We go to Ile aux Nattes practically once a year with our 2 boys and whatever friends we can bring along. Ockie's place is our hotel of choice because it is such a perfect spot for kids and adults alike to relax, play, eat fantastic food, and be in an English...
