We were greated by our friendly guide Mohammed. He immediately made us feel welcome. He was flexible and had great stories. Tour through Wadi Rum was organised and well planned. At first bit busy with other jeeps but soon we were alone in the desert! Great lunch and break. Helpfull with everything we requested. Then to the camp, perfect tents,...

Visiting Jordan and not experiencing the Wadi Rum would have been a travesty according to my guidebooks. And oh my goodness, were we happy we stayed here! 3 days of bliss and quite frankly, we should have cut short our time in other places to stay here longer. Make sure you pay the counter at the Wadi Rum Visitor Centre...

If you are lucky enough to have the amazing Mamdou as your guide to this unforgettable desert, you will have an experience that will stay with you for a lifetime. Without any exaggeration! His understanding of the sites, his charm and his warmth brought out the most adventurous side of us. The camp is typically Bedouin with spotless rooms and...

Accomodation is basic (but perfectly pleasant), but it's all about the location. Unlike many other camps we saw on the drive in, this site is in the shadow of a low rock formation (rather than a high one), which means you can enjoy both sunrise and sunset from the same spot.

I went on a two day trip: the "usual" desert tour and a trip close to the Saudi Arabian border. The first thing I really appreciated: You don't need to be a group, though you have to pay more when you are the only one on the tour. As a single traveller that was perfect for me. The camp is...

Mohammad’s camp is located on the edge of the protected area of the Wadi Rum desert, in a secluded and very peaceful area. The tents are comfortable and clean. There are various common areas where tourists can relax (an area with tables where you could eat, the fire where you can sit around and drink a delicious hot tea, a...

Wadi Rum is spectacular in a world wonder kind of way. Our time spent with Mohammad at his family camp made our trip incomparable. His gracious way with the guests, and especially our group, gave us a lifetime experience. Comfortable tents and fabulous food.

We had such a wonderful time at the camp. Mohammad and his team truly made a memorable experience! We really enjoyed the traditional food and staying up late around the fire talking about life and life in Wadi Rum. An unforgettable experience!

We booked a full day 4x4 tour with overnight stay. When arriving we discovered that we had to share the jeep with two other tourists. We asked with the booking off it could be only the two of us and the said that was fine. After explaining this they fixed another jeep for us and we had out own tour....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The camp is small, intimate and very safe. It is in the south of the reserve, away from other tourists and far from traffic and worry. You will experience the serenity only found in the heart of the desert, and enjoy the dazzling night sky un-polluted by city lights. The bedrooms are Bedouin tents, both very attractive and comfortable, which open directly onto the desert expanse. The rest rooms are modern and clean, with flush toilets and showers with hot and cold running water. The dining area is a traditional semi-enclosed Bedouin tent with lounge, where you can recline to chat and drink endless cups of tasty local tea around the fire while gazing up at the stars. The meals are delicious and freshly prepared on site. You may even be treated to the melt-in-your mouth delight of zarb, a banquet of meat and vegetables slow-cooked the traditional way in an underground oven. The staff are polite and helpful, and available at all times to ensure your stay is perfect. ... more   less
