We booked 2 night for standard mountain view room, we got at first floor number 18. The room was clean, there are amenities (soap, shampoo, slipper, towel, coffe, tea, sugar, etc) safe deposit box and fan too. The bed comfortable, the staff and owner is honest and hospitality, many variance for breakfast. Hotel area is clean and i thought the swimming pool no chlorine cause the water is fresh. Just improved hot water inside bathroom sometime hot and sometime cold every 5 second maybe. Overall is very good and best value
Outdoor breakfast/dinner with lakeside view? This is the place where you should go. A lovely inn with very serene atmosphere. Perfect for a few day's of relaxing. Get here by boat (20.000 idr p.p) from Prapat (4h bus from terminal tarpadu amplas medan 40.000 idr p.p) totally worth the trip.
The only thing good here is the breakfast. Not a fan of getting to a hotel and the room is nothing like the pictures on the internet. 2 showers but only one works. The other one just sprays out black water. No soap by the sink No air conditioning, and when you ask them to open the windows because they are blocked by a screen and hard to open, they say they cannot be opened. But some already are. They are just too lazy to open them. Sign at the bar has a price for wine by the glass at 70,000 IDR but they won’t sell it to you, they will only sell by the bottle at 500,000 IDR which seems like a lot more. If they are selling glasses of wine at 70,000 that means they have to sell a little over 7 glasses to make 500,000. So each glass must be only 3 ounces. Our first night eating there we saw a cat walking around on the counter in the restaurant. One of our towels had a blood stain on it also the towels are old. The manager arranged for us to get a boat when we left and told us it would cost 20,000 IDR but when we got on the boat everyone else was paying 15,000 IDR so I asked why and he said Toba Village Inn pays more. Also don’t let him arrange a driver to the airport for you. Also charge too much. 500,000 from Parapat to silangit airport. Parapat has Grab cars and you can get Grab plus ( five star only ) for 350,000 This place likes to gouge. Also advertise that they take credit cards but when you ask to pay with it they say yes but we charge another 3% on top. Picture has the view from my room. …
There are some pros and cons Location is great, with their own boat dock that ferries will pick up/drop off at. Price is very good. Bed is very comfortable and room is large - clean bathroom. People working there are very nice and the pool is not bad either The downsides is that the breakfast is terrible, and the outside area is a bit dirty - there is lots of trash in the area by the massage tables - it is partially lake water, and there are lots of fish in there, and I am sure it would take any staff member 30 mins to net out the trash from there...and its not done...
The rooms were clean and very spacious. They have two swimming pools and if you want you can swim in the lake as well. The breakfast was not very big. We only ate pancakes and fruit. Lunch or dinner were fine. The staff was not very professional, only a few really tried to make sure we had everything we needed. Mostly they were sitting around and laughing with eachother. The wifi only had a good connection at the swimming pool, just so you know ;) The woman behind the reception was really kind and litteraly running around to fix everything. We would recommend this hotel anyway! Enjoy!
The location of the hotel is very good, directly lake side. The property of the hotel is not so big, It has hardly a garden even around the swimming pools The personal is friendly Spacious clean rooms, clean sheets and towels Nice terrace Good bathroom, but we didn’t have hot water, not even luke warm water. The breakfast could be better, Although the service is very good Pisang goreng was delicious We have stayed only one night
Overall a very lovely stay at Toba Village Inn. Lovely gardens surrounding the place and the private jetty during sunset was my favorite part of the experience! There was no AC in my room, just a standing fan but it was ok as the weather was quite cooling during the night. My only complain would be the loud live music every night from a nearby restaurant/bar. There is a convenience store directly opposite the hotel which you can get almost anything from toiletries to beer. And if you love 'babi guling' (suckling pig) Casa Di Manurung is just 100m away; only available on Saturday. Bicycles & motorbikes are also available for rent from nearby shops. In short, it is a very convenient location to stay. Do inform the receptionist the time that you want the ferry to pick you up from the hotel back to Parapat.…
Everything in this hotel was just so lovely. The bedroom, the bathroom, the swimming pools, the buffet breakfast and the staff are simply comforting. I booked this hotel through Traveloka app and stayed here for 3 nights starting on June 1st to 4th during the peak Lebaran season here in Indonesia. Despite the peak season, the surcharge the hotel applied was not too much and the price I paid was still much cheaper compared to other starred hotels in Tuktuk. This was my first stay here but I'll definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again when I visit Tuktuk again. Thanks Toba Village Inn!
The hotel advised us in advance on current construction going on and gave us a 20% discount what was appreciated. However, from there it went downwards. We booked a room with air conditioning but we had fan only, TV not working, room instructions in Indonesian language only, very simple breakfast (no comparison to the charming pictures online) and ants everywhere. The nice fish pond beside the restaurant is full with kitchen rests and some plastic... very unappealing. In summary, you have much nicer options in town; we checked out after one night and just moved 300m further downtown which we enjoyed a lot. Sadly, the manager lady was not very open for our verbal feedback.
One of the better hotels in Tuk-Tuk. Great service, food, friendly staff and location. Rooms are comfortable and cozy decorated. Breakfast is ok. All kind of day trips can be booked via the reception. the owner, mrs. Rotua, is always willing to help or advise.
