Unfortunately, my room looked nothing like some of the professional photos or other pics shared by travellers, so perhaps I just drew the short straw. The rooms were big but the bed linen didn't look too clean - there were some questionable stains. The bathroom was a wet room with lots of pebbles - while this might look like a...

The Lakeview Eco Lodge is an older hotel which is in need of some upgrades and repairs. It's an interesting Asian-mid century modern hybrid. We were told when we arrived that our TV was not functional, which was not really an issue since we would not be watching it anyway. The other interesting item missing from the room was a...

Stayed at Lakeview for two nights in the middle of a two week stay in Candidasa - the two being very different but both great! We found Lakeview a really good place for touring the area; easy having hired a self-drive car. Stayed in a 'superior' room which was good but not wonderful. Very clean, comfortable and quiet with a...

I was booked at this hotel as part of a tot of Bali which included a fantastic hike up mount batur for the sunrise. The hotel has a fantastic location looking directly at mount batur the lake and mount agung. That's the good side ... The place generally feels neglected and has definitely seen a grander past. I had room...

Rooms are old and look shabby, they urgently need a renovation. The bathroom was horrible, dirty and broken. The restaurant was bad. One star left, but only for this fabulous view of Mount Batur and the lake. Kintamani itself is not recommended.

The nicest hotel we found in the area, rooms are a little dated but nice enough and the bed was comfortable. I had read some reviews that the TV's didn't work and this was the same for my room but in honesty, if they worked I would only have had 5 Indonesian channels anyway. Staff were very helpful and friendly,...

Entrance looks very nice with a beautiful overlooking the lake. We paid 200,000 for an extra bed which was 4 cushions on the floor and a mattress. The two beds that have been in the room originally were damp. The floor in the bathroom is concrete with pebbles Orr it to hide it. This makes it hard to walk on...

The rooms are of very different quality. I was lucky to get a new room. It was quiet clean and the sheets were clean too. Beds were comfortable. I really disliked that the bathroom is only separated by a folding shutters from the sleeping room. It's kind of awkward because you can here every single sound someone makes in the...

What a dump Kintamani is - full of harassing street vendors who greedily hassle you to buy chess sets, clothing or food, does not feel safe/secure at all. Utterly grim place at the heart of the otherwise stunning Bali. When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by a dodgy looking guard on a motor bike barking at us...

We just spent two delightful nights at the Lakeview Hotel, where cool breeezes and wonderful views are the norm along with super friendly service and good food. First let me start this review by saying that Lakeview is in a pretty remote location and as someone who has run a small hotel in a small village in Indonesia I know...
