We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Hidden Charm Hotel and Resort in Dec 2019. The hotel itself is spotless, rooms and beds are super comfy, breakfast spread is delicious, the pool is amazing and the location was great with a 2 min walk to lots of restaurants, shops and a river boat tour. The hotel staff were super helpful and went out of their way to ensure that we made the best of our time in Tam Coc - advising us on the best tours, helping us with transport etc. Definitely a 10/10 experience!!

It's my second time in Ninh Binh and in this hotel. When my friend and I got there, the frontdesk explained the map and the tourist spots around in detail. The staff there are friendly and helpful. I particularly appreciate Ms. Trang's help on even trifles. As usual the rooms are clean and spacious while the breakfast is fabulous with a wide variety of choices and the pho there is a must-try. What impresses me most is that this hotel keeps improving and trying to cater for the guests' needs. However, several machines in the fitness room are under maintenance and it'd be quite cold to swim in the pool during the winter. As a resort, there is perhaps some room for improvement in terms of entertainment facilities but the hotel's location is great so you won't get bored if you spend 2 - 3 days there.

This is a very nice hotel. It has great amenities, like a pool, spa and a free breakfast. The staff is all extremely accommodating and are very eager to help you with absolutely anything you can think of. We did use the laundry/dry cleaning services which to clarify is just laundry, not dry cleaning. We sent through some items that were to be dry cleaned (wool sweaters) which were washed and ruined, which was a disappointment. Additionally, I do think this hotel is a bit overpriced. Not only are the rooms on the higher end price point for the area, but they really do get you with the prices of tours and cars to get around. If I did it again, I would have looked outside of the hotel for transport and tours. All in all, good experience.

Hello, We stayed overnight at Ninh Binh Hidden Charm, before our 2-day cruise on Halong Bay. We wished we could have had more time to enjoy and relax.
The staff was remarkable! Very polished, extremely kind and helpful, they made us feel so special, welcome and appreciated. Thank you so much!! A special mention to the ladies at the restaurant and front desk: your customer oriented skills were truly appreciated!
The buffet breakfast was very good; great selection, clean, fresh, very large room, well appointed, that felt sophisticated and upscale. We were lucky to have a table by the large windows. Again, the staff was very present, ready to provide anything needed, with fast and abundant refills.
Service was terrific (front desk, restaurant …), what a treat!
Ninh Binh Hidden Charm is an excellent choice and we thank the Team for making our stay relaxing, although it was so brief.

We stayed here for 4 nights in December 2019. We arrived a little early for check in but the staff were very accommodating and arranged for us to have our room early at no extra cost. The service and hotel was superb. The front of house staff particularly were excellent, so helpful telling us about the local area and arranging a car. Restaurant staff were attentive and helpful at meal times. I was ill one day and they arranged for soup and bread to come to my room and were concerned about my health. They arranged for a late checkout and a car to take us to the rail station. We can thoroughly recommend this hotel. The rooms were clean and of a good standard. In reach of local attractions. Excellent.

We stopped by at this small town Ninh Binh while coming back from Ha long to Hanoi! It's a cozy little town that offers a couple of very interesting activities.
The hotel is conviniently located just at the beginning of the market that makes the market and a number of good restaurants at a walking distance!
We were there during the Vietnamese and Chinese new year so the decoration in and around the was quite instagramable!
The rooms are comfortable and especially since we went during winters the rooms were nice and cozy! Heated and carpeted.
Unfortunately there are certain issues that you would face, language is a major barrier, when you pay a premium for the hotel you expect the staff to converse and understand basic language but that wasn't the case here!
The breakfast is not even close to what you pay for the room, we got stale bread and stale muffins and stale croissants! There are hardly any vegetarian options
The hotel has a strange policy of charging for extra child for more than one kid in the room! My kids are 5 and 1 year and we didn't even order for an extra bed but ended up paying for the extra child... That's something I have not experienced anywhere in any of my travels so far!
All up, it's a overpriced hotel for what they end up offering at that price point!

Great Hotel Great restaurant with great specifications and excellent service. Large, clean and bright bathroom with a view of the field. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and non-discounted and reasonably priced service and dishes. Courteous and professional service. Good location and comfortable.

The service was good. There is a difference between the standard room and executive room. The exec room has a much better washroom and worth the small additional cost. The guest service person, Jessica, was outstanding and very attentive. She always took an extra step to help and say hello. The hotel is close to the town but not right in the busy area. It’s a nice property. Lots of pretty lanterns and a lookout to the fields.

Very nice welcome surprise at Tam Coc! We came as part of a package with Lily’s Travel and this a lovely treat we didn’t expect. The staff are absolutely fantastic. They knew we didn’t eat meat so the excellent chef cooked us dinner specifically for us. Tran Tri the supervisor made us feel so special and welcome, assisted by her other colleagues especially Trini the frainee in restaurant. The welcome starts from the doorman to the lady in reception who are so friendly and kind. The room was stunning and very clean uptodate and perfect for british travellers. The swimming pool was stunning and changing rooms so clean The power ports for british people were also very nice gesture Hotel has quite a few spa places nearby for £10 / £12 and we loved our body massage.
Suggestion is to have another step into swimming pool for those with mobility problems as metal stairs were too low / high and steps too low down. British people like tea with milk so in bedroom some long life or condensed milk would be appreciated

During my recent trip, I had the opportunity to stay at a hotel that truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was greeted by a warm and welcoming staff who provided exceptional service throughout my stay. They were attentive, courteous, and always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests I had.
The rooms at the hotel were surprisingly well-maintained and clean. The housekeeping team did an outstanding job of ensuring that every corner was spotless, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. I was able to enjoy a restful night's sleep and wake up feeling refreshed each morning.

Once you get to the Hotel they will suggest places for you to visit and will arrange a taxi to take you there. We really enjoyed the Bich Dong Pagoda and also the Hang Mua caves - 500 steps up to the top. Both these are reasonably close to the hotel. You could walk easily to Tam Coc boat tours from the hotel. Its only about a 10 minute walkl. We did both of the boat tours while we were there and much preferred Trang An boat tours. Enjoy your trip.
We were there early December 2018 and had no problems with mosquitos in the hotel or in the nearby parks. However, in South East Asia it’s always advisable to take a reliable replant.
The hotel did not provide mosquito nets as there was n need. The rooms are airconned and windows seal well.
There are more places to choose from in the Ninh Binh area.
