Emeralda Resort Ninh Binh is celebrated by guests for its spacious and comfortable rooms that boast stunning views and provide unique experiences. While some travelers question the value for the price, especially concerning dining and excursions, the resort's cleanliness and abundant amenities like pools, gardens, and spa treatments receive high praise.
The atmosphere is described as everything from cozy and artistic to tranquil amidst nature. However, service quality appears inconsistent, with reports of both excellent attention and moments of neglect by staff members.

The hotel is very large, surrounded by a vast tropical garden with several swimming pools. The rooms, all on the ground floor, with independent entrance, are huge and very comfortable, all equipped with a kettle and complimentary bottled water. A large window overlooking the bathroom. Characteristic.

Emaralda Ninh Binh. Was is a hidden gem nestled in the mountains. The moment I arrived, I was struck by the stunning scenery and the crisp, fresh air. The cabin-style rooms are cozy and well-appointed, with large windows offering panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.
The resort is the perfect place for outdoor enthusiasts, with hiking trails starting right from the property. I particularly enjoyed the guided nature walks, where knowledgeable guides shared insights about the local flora and fauna. After a day of exploring, the spa was the perfect place to unwind. The hot stone massage was one of the best I’ve ever had.
The only downside was the limited dining options on-site, but the quality of the food made up for it. The farm-to-table organic restaurant, Anoop and team made our diner uncomfortable experience , served delicious meals made with fresh, local ingredients.
I would like to Thanks to Anoop to the made our great holiday in Emaralda Ninh Binh and he was great team leader and follow up with us and other guest as well always friendly smile and supportive gentleman anyone to travel to Emaralda highly recommended the place all day Relax and feeling rejuvenated and at peace. It’s the ideal destination for anyone looking to disconnect and reconnect with nature.

This has been the most exquisite experience. You have a semi-private pool in your villa cluster to keep you cool and comfortable if the larger indoor pool or the larger outdoor pool aren't big enough for you. The supper restaurant is amazing, with a ton of options, and the breakfast options are just incredibly comprehensive. Given the quality of the food, this hotel needs a very unique chef. This enormous resort has buggies that you may hire if you don't want to walk between the villa groups. The room was also excellent.

The first impression is wonderful- fantastic grounds and an impressive entrance. From then it is a disappointing experience with surly staff and a lukewarm welcome. Once in your room you will find a price list for everything from the tissue box to the towels should you wish to purloin anything. They must have a theft problem as they asked us where one of our umbrellas were when we checked out; it was at the restaurant as we had left it there after walking from our room for breakfast in the rain. The staff in the restaurant at night were utterly miserable, not surprising as the same jazz instrumental track plays on a continuous loop which is enough to drive any sane person to distraction.

Vietnam is a very beautiful & culturally rich country. We visited Hanoi, Halong Bay, Hoi An, Da Nang & Ninh Binh on 11D/10N trip. Hospitality, reception & local immersion was outstanding at all places (except Emeralda) - people were welcoming & hotel staff were very courteous.
Emeralda Resort at Ninh Binh was not so pleasant experience barring a few seasoned staff members. F&B Manager at Sen Restaurant (morning paid breakfast) declined to entertain vegan food request & puréed fruit for 7 month infant, She said Kitchen’s busy, we have a large group to cater to. After much explanation she managed to get a fried rice (that’s It!!) but for puréed fruit she denied & insisted I pay for it.
Organic Restaurant is good, couple of staff there (mostly women) were courteous. Pool Bar attendant had some issues, not even acknowledging the greetings.
Thanks to Ms Hung (Restaurant Manager), Mr Chung (Reception) & another Restaurant manager at Organic (missed her name) for making our stay bearable & manageable. They have a very wonderful property & spacious rooms, had the service been at par like other 4 & 5 star resorts; it would be an ideal location for tranquility.
Note: Vegan / Vegetarian food menu is limited & not allowed to buy food from outside.

We stayed two nights in April in a large, well equiped villa with a small, virtually private pool - most welcome in the mini heatwave the area was experiencing. As there were 3 of us staying in one room we had booked an extra bed which, unusually, was really comfy. There were very few guests during our stay, we often felt we had the resort and it's beautiful gardens to ourselves, so much so that we were treated to an a la carte breakfast on our second morning as there were not enough of us to warrant the buffet. Massages at the Spa were fantastic and sundowners by the main pool before dinner were a highlight. The food was fabulous as was the service which was our experience throughout our trip to Vietnam. We wouldn't hesitate to come back to the Emeralda.

I loved the snow mushrooms and the chef seemed really good, I was very comfortable in this beautiful location, swimming in the pool was indispensable and all the services were great, the lifeguard very kind. I found a lot of courtesy from everyone! I loved that the waiters were smiling young people!

We received a warm welcome for our two night stay to explore the area. We had a lovely Superior room (208) which was very large with all the expected amenties and surrounded by gardens. Acknowledging our recent 50th wedding anniversary the bed was beautifully decorated as well as floating rose petals in the bath. Thank you Emeralda. Whilst there are restaurants just outside we decided to have dinner both nights after busy sight seeing days in Organics Restaurant. Excellent service and food on both nights. We chose to eat inside but there are outside options. Breakfast in the Sen Restaurant was equally good with a nice terrace to enjoy the gardens. We did use the pools on one day although not many beds around and quite shallow but nice to freshen up. Overall a very comfortable stay with lovely staff. The resort is spread out but there are carts running around all the time to save the legs or collect bags.

Lovely little hidden gem. The room was beautiful and spacious and I loved the up lighting of the intricate ceiling. Staff were helpful. The pool is huge and the live music at the pool bar was wonderful. We only stayed for one night - really only 12 hours - and ordered room service for dinner which was delicious. The venue overall is a little tired, but still five star.

Well, it's certainly a unique hotel. It was assigned to us by our tour group. The hotel isn't near anything--certainly nothing within walking distance. And the hotel layout is also very spread out. Fortunately they do have golf carts which will take you and your luggage to your rooms, because the rooms can probably be about 1 km from the lobby. One has to walk in the dark on the paths to get to dinner, but the food in the restaurant was quite good. The rooms were quiet and comfortable, if a bit on the rustic side. Breakfast choices were limited, but well-prepared. Unlike other posters, we encountered no problems with service. When we were ready to check out, a golf cart came promptly to check us out. I don't have any complaints regarding our stay, although the hotel's layout isn't exactly my style.

We had a guide and driver and found it very convenient, especially not knowing the terrain and locations of the sites we were visiting. Walking would be quite a trek, even to the nearest sites and I think cycling would be quite a ride as well. I would recommend using a guide who also can expedite ticketing and show you some shortcuts. You might want to check with the concierge at Emeralda. Good luck.
You can do but they're quite expensive, we hired a moped and did it ourselves. There's tam coc which is really good, the ancient capital and then bai dinh pagoda ...and van long nature reserve is just up the road which is beautiful 😊how long are you planning on staying for?
There are more places to choose from in the Ninh Binh area.
