We absolutely loved our stay at Sunshine Homestay. We stayed two nights and wished it was longer. On our third night we had a late overnight train to catch. The owner Nga and her family went over and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. They stored our luggage and even arranged for us to shower in their own home before sending us off in a taxi to the train station. Sunshine homestay is in a beautiful location amongst the rice fields and limestone cliffs but only a very short walk into town. We rode push bikes and also a scooter which the homestay supplied. Our room had the biggest bed we’d ever seen and the rooms were decorated beautifully and very comfortable. There is a large swimming pool and the breakfasts served on the roof terrace each morning were delicious. I would highly recommend staying here. Tam Coc was one of our favourite areas in the whole of Vietnam.

What a find this Bed and breakfast (homestay) is. Wonderful host Nga is at the very top of her game and nothing is too much trouble. Location at the base of a limestone tower is pretty epic and its short walk (less then 10 mins) - a perfect buffer/distance from the lively and at times, noisy town with its great cafes and restaurants. The 6 cabins are very comfy and have good ensuite bathrooms and aircon. The breakfast was superb, excellent omelettes / eggs / pancakes, fruit, fresh bread with juice and tea or the v strong Vietnamese coffee :)
We borrowed the free bikes to cycle off to a local pogada whilst Nga will also provide scooters if they havent already been allocated to other guests.
Nga also did our washing - 3kg for 150k Vnd which was massively helpful.
Overall an absolute bargain for this wonderfully hospitable, restful and scenic property....we were sad to leave after 3 nights.

Excellent homestay with helpful host just outside center of Tam Coc. Citycenter is walking distance, but the surroundings are very quiet.
We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful room with good beds (although a bit hard, but that’s Vietnam). We rented scooters for a very reasonable price, so we had every opportunity to see the surroundings and visit all highlights. The host also helped arrange transport to our next destination (also for reasonable price).
A must stay in Tam Coc.

We had the absolutely most amazing time staying in Tam Coc’s homestay with Nga and her family. We were welcomed with a delicious fresh Mango juice and were made to feel straight at home.

I recommend organising a day trip through Nga, great value for money, an english guide and the day is perfectly set up.

The rooms are big, air co makes the rooms nice and cold and the rooms are nice and clean. The photos don’t do Nga’s homestay justice. You are in the midst of rice fields and on the side on a mountain. About a max 5 minute walk through the rice fields from the busy Tam Coc.

Nga learned we loved cats and brought our her very handsome orange cat for us to pet - so cute!

Great stay, a very helpful landlady, she was very sweet, always available to help.
The breakfast was really good, their bicycles are free to use and motorbikes are also available for a daily fee.
The swimming pool is a great addition to enjoy whether first thing in the morning or at the end of the day.
Highly recommend staying there while in Tam coc.

This little gem is hidden at a 5 min walk of the center. We got 2 quiet rooms at the back, next to the rock. They were tidy, comfortable and had private terrace with chairs and table. The pool is perfect too. The host is a charming woman, very helpful and attentionate. We got fresh mango juice upon arrival and could keep 1 room longer to enjoy the pool after morning cycling with the bikes of the homestay. Breakfast was delicious with homemade jam, coffee, tea, pancakes and scrumbled eggs. We would definitely recommend this place!

A favorite for this homestay located in an area of Tam Coc for the moment preserved... by taking a bike and doing a few hundred meters, we find ourselves facing beautiful landscapes still virgin construction. The family that receives us is adorable: friendly, smiling, available. The rooms are surrounded by huge bougainvillea, and breakfast (top) is served on the roof overlooking the karst peaks... To top it all off, there is a swimming pool and free bikes, for a night around 35€

The time I spent at Sunshine Homestay was just AMAZING. I think I have never met such nice people like owners of this place. Always smiling, extremely helpful and just so kind. I arrived to the homestay 6h before check in and they prepared room for me immediatelly and let me start enjoying Tam Coc from the very first minute there. When I was waiting for the room I got some delicious food and coffee.
The same thing happened on my last day. They let me stay in my room till 5pm so I can take a shower and rest before my train. I also got some fruit so I won't be hungry on my way to the next town in Vietnam.
I also got all tips about what to see in the area. There are a lot of bikes you can use for free as a guest of Sunshine. Swimming pool is quiet big and you can actually swim there. Breakfast is always tasty and you have few options to choose.
Nephew of the owner (very very nice guy) is a taxi driver and he can drive you wherever you need for a very good price.
There is actually nothing more you could ask for.
Once again: 10/10

Tam Coc Sunshine Homestay was the highlight of our trip. Spectacular location across the rice fields from Tam Coc township, quiet enough to enjoy the serenity while still being a short walk (or cycle, motorcycle, or drive) from the town centre.

We swam in the pool, borrowed the bikes, and ate breakfasts every day. The breakfasts are a must-have! Delicious.

NgĂ  and her family were a delight. She helped us plan our trip (and coached me on my Vietnamese). We're already planning our next visit.

This is a gorgeous place to stay. We slept in a bamboo room that overlooks the rice fields in one direction and the beautiful pool and garden. The home stay sits in front of stunning limestone mountains, the scenery in every direction is like a dream. This is a family run business and they are such a lovely family. They cooked us a delicious breakfast in the morning, washed our clothes, booked travel for us and helped plan our day. They also hired us a motorcycle for a ridiculously low price. This home stay was the highlight of our whole trip to Vietnam (despite staying in 5 star places in the cities, I rate this experience highest). The Nin Binh area is beautiful and you need more than a day trip from Hanoi to see it. I highly recommend staying here.
