I have stayed here twice before, at Elephant Roundup time - when hotel prices in Surin double or treble. This year, the death of the King cast a pall over everything, VIP tickets for the show were half price, the hotel was empty - but the price was still sky high! The hotel is old, the rooms are worn out...

I stayed there two weeks ago for 5 nights and many times over the years.I like the location, the nightly entertainment and the regular staff.Granted it could do with a spruce up but on the whole it is a good example of experiencing Thai culture.Foreigners usually go elsewhere but you could do a lot worse than this hotel.

This city centre is typical. But I commend the management here for not ripping off the travelers. When I go , I have the family round for a treat, better than the huts they live in, so even if this is 2 or 3 stars, my thai family and friends think its 6 star. the other hotels in town want...

You have anything there what you want, ac, fridge, bathroom. The place looked like they didn´t work on it since 30 years. I only payed 350 baht, directly on the desk, booking.com, agoda etc. would have charged me more than double.

Awful dark dreary hotel that needs refurbished from top to bottom. My room was a dungeon ,,no view as they put me in the back. Reception could not speak English ,, all TV channels were local.. No Bangkok post in lobby. Breakfast was rudimentary to say the least.. Also it was nearly empty.. I think this hotel is only cattering...

Outdated and dark hotel; when checking in you can see that there's not much human traffic at the hotel or around the hotel so i don't recommend anyone to go out at night. Room looks gloomy and have a stale smell , bed was soft and bathroom is poorly maintained. But it's only for a night so still okay.

I opted for this hotel, basically because of its location,a stone throw away from the bus station.I had to take the first van at 5am from the station to Sangka/Bauchet,an easy walk from the hotel. This hotel appears like a 5 star hotel in the past but now it looks a bit run down, not too bad.Anyway, the room is quite large, clean and...

I stayed at this hotel over 2nd week of July for two nights. The price was very reasonable for what I received, a/c twin room, towels and 1 water. The pool was out of use due to some guest mishap. The rooms are dated and need a major make over... The power points are somewhat dodgy.... Suggest flat pin two...

If mould in the bathroom and a tired outdated hotel is not for you then give it a miss BUT if you want, clean sheets, hot water, good buffet breakfast included in the room price ( and for 650 THB a bargain), staff who went out of their way to assist even if some had limited English and a short...

As with everything, you get what you pay for. We were happy with the service and the room for what we paid. For people expecting a shiny, new hotel, this is not the place. It is a little old, but not falling apart. The elevator worked, but was very slow. When we booked in, we went to our room and...
