The location is spectacular with breathtaking views in a really quiet area. Truly beautiful! It is just a pity that the hotel is not quite at the same level. It is quite nice but would require a bit more care and maintenance to be really nice (eg. the bed sheets had some wholes and where a bit stained, the lampshades...

Overall I enjoyed my stay, but was disappointed for paying a premium price and being denied some of the amenities and service one would expect at this price point. The views were breath-taking and the room was lovely with a comfy bed! Maids tidy the place daily and hot water- are big pluses! But - the Shuttle should have been...

We stayed in Baan Talay for 3 days. The view was magnificent, but that was about it. The rooms are expensive compared to other thai opportunities (3 times as much). The place is located far away from the city, and the transfer is only available three times a day. This means that unless you have your own transport you have...

When we arrived our ferry was over two hours late and we really appreciated when Baan Talay contacted us during the day to make sure everything is alright. We had a pick up service in the harbour which was great as the hustling when the ferry arrives is always a mayhem. We stayed ten days in a suite and I...

We spent 10 days in magical Baan Talay, and I can say the resort was by far the best part of Koh Tao! We had deluxe hut with seaview, which was one of the nicest rooms I have been to in Thailand with absolutely breathtaking views, ultra comfortable terrace and very stylish outdoor bathroom. Room was also decorated with very...

The Resort is definitely one of the best places to relax on Koh Tao. The "huts" are lovely furnished and well equipped with cosy beds, fresh linens, balcony with hammock and sea view. The restaurant is located on a big terrace, the food is delicious and vegetarian options available. Although the resort is located on a hill outside of town,...

Greetings, I stayed at the Baan Talay for a few nights ( 5 or 6 ) while i was getting my open water diving certification with the New Heaven Diving school, and i really enjoyed my stay there, the location is on the other side of the island, far from all the noise, its perfect for someone looking to relax...

During our dive course, we stayed at the Baan Talay resort. The rooms were situated in the middle of the jungle with nature at every angle and a beutiful view of the ocean from the balcony. The rooms have an outdoor shower with hot water and fans that are more than adequate to cool you down throughout warm nights. The...

Read the other reviews, the place is stunning, romantic and quiet. But reviews are to explain "other" facts which are usually not told. First drawback (and as it seems it has happened to other people), we also did not get the "free" ride to the resort, in spite they knew we were arriving on that late ferry from Samui. The...

We chose Baan Talay as we wanted a bit more of the rustic experience and it was a breath of fresh air from the commercial resorts on Samui and a whole lot cheaper! For a much better price we had a fantastic sea view, and some of the best snorkelling (other than Ngan Yuan)! We stayed in the sea view...
