We are traveling with 4 girls. We booked a 4 bed dorm at the Koh Tao Backpackers Hostel. We had 3 pretty okay nights. But it was extremely noisy, drunk people were running and screaming around the hallways every night. When it happened around midnight, it's not a problem cause we're all young and all like to party as well....

This hostel was absolutely disgusting. There was horrible sewage odors throughout the whole building. The furniture was run down, and our pillows were so lumpy that we were creeped out by them. The bathrooms are so dirty. They leave all of their cleaning supplies scattered through the bathrooms. The showers and toilets were moldy and had bugs everywhere. Even the...

You get to control the AC yourself, a huge plus for me. I loved this hostel, though I prefer another one because this one is a little too big for me. I prefer smaller more intimate places. Definitely recommend this one though!

Booked 7 nights here on hostelworld last week. Previous hotel in krabi booked us an overnight boat instead of a day boat to Koh Tao without us realising and we had no internet to let the hostel know that we would be a day late for arrival. On arrival a day late the check in man was very rude and...

Paid 300 bhat for a dorm bed. Was handed a towel and torn sheets on arrival to a very basic room. Only 2 plug sockets in an 8 bed dorm with squeaky beds. The highlight of our stay was when one of the owners dogs had a wee in the corridor outside our room; the staff were made aware by...

Biggest disappointment was the lack of atmosphere in the hostel. Staff were unfriendly, disinterested and rude. Guy behind the desk rolled his eyes at me when I politely said I didn't understand him. They don't give any info of the island and were rude about giving me a towel. Their attitude changed when they over heard us talking to other...

This is one of the cheaper places to stay in Koh Tao, it has a good central location. However, I had friends staying at Spicypai so I was over there quite a few times and I preferred it there. In Koh Tao Backpackers there isn't really any common room area at all, there is a room upstairs with a TV...

Overall the hostel was alright. Not the worst not the best. Rooms were not too cramped but not very clean. There were several broken lockers in the room with people's left over rubbish in them and on them. The bed cleaning consisted of a feather duster just dusting the sheet. The downstairs toilets were just awful. Smelly and dirty. But...

At our time of booking it was the cheapest hostel we could find near Sairee Beach. We stayed in an 8 bed mixed dorm which had air con. The blanket they give you to sleep under barely covers your body and when people have the air con on freezing you need a bigger blanket. It had lockers in the room...

A few changes could have made this hostel a lot nicer, such as the mattresses and general cleanliness of the hostel, however you are provided with clean towels and bed sheets upon arrival along with a roof top area with space for drying clothes and towels. The communial area also offers a t.v with lots of movies to watch for...
