Koh tao is beautiful and I will definitely go back. However Save Bungalows look great from outside but are not very clean, the fan didn't work, the bed was like sleeping on a slab of concrete with a sandbag for a pillow. The steps up to the bungalow where very steep and slippery when wet and had no hand rail....

I do not understand the people rating 1/5. Yes, there are insects in Thailand. Unless you live at a resort, rooms will not be cleaned without asking, as is customary in this type of accomodation. The shower only has cold water, and you flush using a bucket. Me and my girlfriend have been travelling around Thailand for a month now...

Yet again I have used Save for my latest dive trip to Koh Tao. Mr T and his wife were as welcoming as ever. At B1,000 per night the accommodation suits me as a solo traveller. The room (15) has a double bed, air con, fan and tv so can accommodate 2. I stayed for 11 nights so the rate...

Very handy location, super value if you travel as couple, compare with town accommodation. Quiter option compared with those by beach in town. you can get better deals when you book online rather than pay cash by reception/shop/travel agent. Helpful owners. Only minus for us was actvity overlooking from back window. Neighbouring houses have rubbish tip site there but there...

Bungalow looks alright from the outside. Free wifi, reception and speed changes from minute to minute. I think the bed is made of concrete, i like hard beds, but this one is way to hard. Pillow is plastic covered, which makes it bit uncomfi. Walls dirty, floor dirty, ceiling dirty, bathroom dirty, mirror a mess, toilet with bucket flush, cold...

Arriving on the island this place is very handy as it is cheap as beans and right at the pier, 5 minute walk from the boat. Check in is at a close by shop, motorbike rent was offered for 150TBH. The rooms are like many described, cheap. But they do the job. The bed got a thin hard mattress which...

Our hut had ants all over the floor, bed, and bathroom. The bed was rock hard, and wasn't a real pillow to sleep with. It felt like it was a hard plastic blow up beach toy. There was stains on the pillow cases and the blanket we were given to use felt like it still had laundry soap in it....

Horrible. Full of ants, spiders and cobwebs everywhere, no hot water of you don't pay extra (we didn't know), plastic pillows that make you sweat as soon as you put your head on it. Not even enough toilet paper (one roll for 2 people staying 5 days). All that for 24 euros per night. Sodefinitely disappointing.

Very near the Pier and town. Should save you lots of Taxi fare. Despite the budget rate, WiFi is available inside the room and very reliable. Cleanliness not very good for room but has basic clean bedsheet and towel. Other toiletries, you bring your own. Wall is thin and you hear people walking pass the footpath or speaking at night....

Great place, location and initial staff. Other staff leave a lot to be desired though. Bungalows are lovely, spacious and clean. The beach is a few mins away as well as lots of places to eat and drink.
