Pros: incredible pool, amazing views from the pool & from your room, private balcony off each room, cleanliness of rooms, good restaurant attached to hotel, breakfast included, friendly staff, short walk to part of town with more restaurants, bars, dive schools, etc. Cons: shower water doesn't get warm/hot (we asked a couple times about this and they tried their best...

We loved staying here. The resort is nestled up high on top of a hill, hidden amongst the tropical trees and natural beauty of the island. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the views were stunning and the staff were AMAZING! Thai hospitality at its best; they were always so warm and helpful and even went above and beyond for...

The staff at Chintakiri were very friendly. I particularly liked the way they were not so strict about ordering only one item each from the breakfast menu (our room included breakfast). They were good with organizing a boat trip for us at a reasonable rate. The hotel also picked us up at the pier and dropped us off there on...

The hotel stands at the top of hill. You can see breathtaking view from its restaurant and can enjoy a pool. We couldn't use the pool (because of the rain). And all of staff can speak English. You can choice the list of breakfast. The way to the hotel is steep ascent. If you go there you should take a...

When we first arrived in Koh Tao, we decided to walk to the resort versus booking a taxi. At first, the resort was hard to find until we started following signs for high bar. The resort is located up a steep hill (about 200-250m); quite the climb but worth it. Recommend renting a scooter if you're not into the exercise....

We enjoyed our time in the hotel pretty much. The staff is friendly and really helpful. There are only a few bungalows and less people, so you can relaxe. It's peaceful, quite and clean. Big rooms with comfortable beds. The breakfast is a la carte and delicious. From the pool you have an amazing view to the sea.

The Chintakiri is a low key hotel, not crowded, away from most other businesses on Koh Tao. The location on a hill affords stunning views of the bay from the room balconies and the common areas. Staff are friendly and accommodating. The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. Each room is connected by an outdoor path that is wide...

We had room 103 which had a killer view The staff is really helpful and are always there to greet you with a smile. We went diving very early on two mornings and they always made sure we had a sandwich to...

We stayed here in 2015 and came back in 2016 because we were so happy the year before. While the resort is still great and offers a lot of privacy (theoretically) and the view is stunning, I was unhappy this year for a few reasons. Firstly, nothing changed in the rooms. Since this resort is one of the more expensive...

Took a chance on this hotel which is set high above Chalook bay. The room was large, clean and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the bay, it was stunning. The views were just as amazing from the restaurant and the infinity pool. It was worth the climb twice a day, but it is not suitable for people less able than...
