Had a great stay here..booked a beach front bungalow for 6 nights at a bargain price online. Room was comfy & clean albeit basic, which was fine anyway, had a full size fridge, a/c & fan, comfy bed & functional bathroom. Literally walked out the front door onto soft white sand on a nicer stretch of Ban Tai beach. Location... More

I came to this resort because all other resorts I fancy are fully-booked because of the full moon party. So I got the family room. The room was badly designed. The mattress is hard as rock. The pillows too. Avoid this resort if you can.... The management was really rude when they gave me a wake-up call.

We stayed here during the full moon party as we couldn't get anything closer to town - and although it was a bit of a hike to get in to the main bit of Haad Rin we were glad to be staying here so we could get some peace and quiet at night. The bungalow wasn't as nice as the... More

We visited here during a quiet week - no full moon party on etc. The room was cheap and they upgraded us to a better one because it was so quiet. It's right on the beach with nice views but the beach isn't exactly the best one on Koh Phangan so it's probably useful to have a scooter to explore... More

Supper little place to stay. Friendly staff. Restaurants and a lovely cafe all within easy reach. You could almost be on a desert island. Rooms are clean but beds are a little hard. We moved to 15a and the bed is superb. Would not hesitate to visit again.

We've visited in March for the past three years to break the monotony of winter at home. I don't think I could imagine not looking forward to another winter here. The staff haven't changed, all friendly smiling and genuinely very nice people. Its exceptional value, clean and most of all friendly. Last year, on our last day, tiny puppy Nina... More

If you are looking for somewhere to get your head down at night, enjoy peace and quiet on the beach in the day with an easily accessible coffee shop (that does a cracking array of cooked food and croissants) and array of supermarkets, bars and restaurants and are not too fussy about little things not being quite right, rusty exercise... Situated right on the beach, has lovely views. Hotel staff where very friendly and helpful. I would recommend booking in advance overheard a conversation between staff and a group enquiring about price and they where charging nearly double because of the full moon party. Brilliant place to stay also for the full moon party only a 100 baht to it... More

Rung Arun is good value for money, by the beach and has a good pool. The staff are family run and are very friendly too. The wifi however is poor, the beach it lies on isn't fantastic and its a long walk to the nearest restaurant (around 20 minutes) So a taxi or scooter is recommended. One of the dogs... More

Rung Arun is a silent resort..it is away from the full moon party arena...having independent huts/bungalows and having a private beach. Staff is friendly..they have travel desk for cab ferry bus etc booking...beach is clean with white sand and silent environment. You can get a tuktuk to go anywhere in Koh Phagna. Pool is not too big but who goes... More
