Travellers' Choice 2018 Winner
Certificate of Excellence
Pimalai, nestled in a lush tropical forest with direct access to 900 meters of pristine sandy beach, is the Andaman destination to set your sights on. The beach resort combines all the right ingredients - subtle five star comforts, natural beauty, far from the crowds, with no noise except the sound of the waves sliding in and out and slowly breaking onto the sand.

This hotel is absolute first class. The setting is so beautiful, you feel like you’re right in the middle of the rainforest. The staff had impeccable manners and were super friendly, they make you feel like nothing is too much trouble and they’re always smiling and happy.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff is very kind and will do anything to make your stay great. The pools are nice and so is the beach. No problem finding beach chairs. The village is a short walk from the hotel. just walk down the beach and there is a walkway just past

A beautiful hotel and a haven of peace and tranquility. The location is just stunning and the whole estate feels spacious and uncrowded with a minimal visual impact on the beauty of the bay and forest backdrop. We had the basic deluxe room which was spacious and very comfortable

Would you recommend the half board meal plan?
What are the restaurant prices like?
We were at Pimalai in Oct this year and the price on average for 2 in the restaurants are approx £50 we did eat in the outside restaurants too and found for food and drink it worked out about half the price and although it was nice to try the outside places to eat once you have eaten in the Pimalai you won't eat anywhere else as the food, the setting, and service is outstanding and I found paying twice the price was well worth it, the resort is so good we are going back in March.

Hi what is the weather currently like? We are worried that is says rain daily, we are going next week.
The Thai summer starts around the end of November and temperatures will soar around mid December. I wouldn’t worry too much about the rain, especially if you’re getting this from the weather app on iPhone. If you’re unfortunate, you might get one shower a day. We were there end of September which is their monsoon season and I think we saw maybe 3 or 4 heavy showers; rest of the time was brilliant sunshine. 😊

Is the beach a private beach or public?
Its a public beach Kiantang Bay but its not easy to access from the road and at end of the island. All Cabanas and beach chairs are from the Pimalai resort. It was great in September we had 2.5km of beach to ourself.

Would someone tell me what weather to expect from 6th to 20th oct ? The forecast says thunder storms all the time ! Is this true to form ?
Yes light clothing. Humid and 30 degree plus temp. While I’ve been on Ko Lanta the forecast was giving thunderstorms also. Sometimes they do come - mostly evening or during the night for short periods.
