Our boutique home stay hosts 4 comfortable ensuite natural cottages located near the pristine blue Palk bay with an endless stretch of sandy white beach. Our home is well suited for travellers who would like to spend time by the sea & close to nature. The Palk bay & Gulf of Mannar offers umpteen opportunity for exploring the coral reefs, the ghost town of Dhanushkodi & the Ramanathaswami Temple.
4 of us visited Kathadi North with an image of a remote fishermen’s village and the sea. What we got there was so much more than just that. It’s a big and beautiful property 500 ms away from the beach, filled with palm trees, some adorable dogs and cats and wonderful hosts. The tents are snug and the cottages a wholesome place to just be lazy on the hammock and enjoy the immense amount of breeze, further propelled by the palm leaves. Talking of food, there aren’t much options nearby, so it’s better to pore order your meals at the stay. And we loved their food! Breakfast would be a scrumptious spread of simple yet tasty home cooked food, fresh fruits, juices and more. The plunge pool is aesthetically situated right next to the open dining space. Here you can take a dip with a hot cup of tea while watching the setting sun colour the sky pink and red after you’re done with all the water activities :) Overall, it was a beautiful experience and we definitely can’t wait to be back! :)

We came here on 25 Dec and spent a week here till Jan 1. We wanted to just relax, enjoy the beach, indulge in water sports and get ready for the new year. And we were completely blown away! Kathadi north is located in a very quiet spot near the beach. The entire facility is beautifully designed and comfortable. Kudos to the team for running such an eco friendly operation. The wind surfing and kayaking was really fun - very professional and skilled instructors who are extremely patient. The food is very healthy and cooked fresh for every meal (must try the pineapples). All the staff are super friendly making it a true home away from home. We are surely coming back again as soon as we can. Thank you Jehan, Upasna, Govinda, Rishabh, Darshan, Garima, and the entire Quest team for a great way to end 2019!

Went to Quest for a Wind Surfing level 1 class in March 2020 with a friend. We had a wonderful time, lovely beach , accommodation is basic but very clean. The Wind Surfing class was amazing - we were up and running on the first day, the water was really clear and entire staff was super helpful. I was also super impressed to see all the work the Quest team is doing for the local community including training the children from the local community on water safety and sports . Looking forward to coming back here soon for a level 2 class.

In the sequestrated corner of India's Tamilnadu, lies a power packed adventure water sports academy called Quest academy. Offering a varried water sports like Kite surfing, wind surfing, scuba diving and Kayaking and much more, white sand beach at Kathadi North is the ideal one for such water sports. We were hosted by Jehan and Upasana and they are the perfect hosts at their cute property which already has social distancing since Pre COVID times!.Nearest Airport and railway station is Madurai and you can hire a cab from here for a 3 hour drive to Kathadi North. The other site seeing perks are Dhanushkodi and Rameshwaram temples nearby!.

The place is beautiful with small cozy cottages. The night view of the sky from the hammock is highly recommended. Place is run by the amazing couple who have beautifully woven their lives with the locals. The Wind surfing experience was really amazing and the unforgettable memory of snorkeling in ocean and the catamaran ride with my cat is on the top things I did this year. They are skilled professionals and have all the equipment highly recommend this place for solo, family and couple. The sea is beautiful and the beach is extremely clean. Will be back again when the season is up for diving.

After intense working and studying from home we needed fresh air. We got plenty of it. We were the only guests in the resort. The staff remained consistent by keeping their distance and wearing their masks. Great to be at the coast but not with the usual humidity. The air was dry. The breeze pleasant. No mosquitoes is a big bonus. It made the outdoor showering even more pleasant. Food is very healthy. They organized a grand birthday cake upon request. Activities were meticulously planned according to weather condition. I saw a sunrise with liquid gold on the water. Sup and speed kayaking were in reach of absolute beginners like us. Cycling was fun with goats and peacocks on the road. We even had our own Baywatch experience as we had lifeguard training. An eat sleep repeat destination. From Bangalore via Tuticorin flight in 8.5 hours door to door. We slept during the taxi ride and the flight so the total journey felt as if covered in less than 4 hours.

You can tell that a lot of thought has been put into ensuring guests have a great experience at Kathadi North/Quest Academy, despite it being slightly away from the main town. The team at Quest is very adept, and guided us well during the adventure sports sessions we had scheduled (snorkeling, kayaking). The academy is very well equipped, and the tours are carried out giving a lot of importance to safety. They also ensure that you're having a good time, while learning/trying out a new sport. The cottages at Kathadi North are simple, adequate and well designed. Good food, as well. Very happy to have spent our short trip to Rameshwaram at the property.

We spent three days at Kathadi North and everything was perfect. The cottage with its gorgeous open-to-sky shower and private garden area is lovely, the food is simple but delicious, the dogs are delightful, and the entire team is wonderfully hospitable. Upasna went out of her way to make sure our dog was happy and comfortable - making Kathadi truly the most pet friendly place we’ve ever stayed at. So much thought has gone into every little detail, and this makes Kathadi a very special spot.We can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful place and very well maintained property. We went with our toddler and had so much of fun there. I tried Discovery scuba diving and the instructor was so good and explained everything so well. They had all the safety measures and made my scuba experience so memorable. They have kite surfing, snorkeling, paddle boating and kayaking too. The food was excellent and the staying in the hut cottage was an experience.

We had an awesome time with fun scuba diving experience with the Quest Academy. We were very well instructed on how to go for the scuba dive. Very kind and patient instructors (Thanvi and Rishab) who really really made things so easy and enjoyable for us. Kathadi north a really very hospitable place with very lovely people. Thank you so much and looking forward to doing the PADI certification course with you guys soon.

We do not have any accommodation for Chauffeurs/Drivers to respect the privacy of our guests & family. This information is passed on to all guests prior to booking a course/stay with us. We assist Chauffeurs/Drivers in getting accommodation close by so they are comfortable. Sleeping in the car in the property or on the street is not an option.
Ola/Ubers are available for pickup/drop transfers from Madurai airport. The town of Ramanathapuram has RamanadTrack taxi service on call. Locally rickshaws are available.
There are more places to choose from in the Rameswaram area.
