Stayed there because our tour packages booked us there. Only one other room rented that night. To say that it has seen better days is an understatement. The room was cold (they actually charged 300E for a small space heater; there was no sap or toilet paper; and the restaurant was so disgusting that we are cookies and nuts in our room that we bought. Sat in the cold lobby in our winter jackets using slow internet. And our driver was placed in a roach infested room that I had to demand that they give him another (in this almost empty hotel). In a bill town with several good hitels, there is no reason whatsoever to stay here.

The Resort is situated nearly 5 kms from the main city. Apart from fact that the building needs renovation, everything else is lovely. The view is breathtaking from their cozy and warm rooms. Also, the food is amazing running from breakfast to dinner. However, It costed me 600 every time i came down to the market area and went back. I would hence suggest you to take an expensive Hotel in the lake area and enjoy the luxury rather than spending an unreasonable amount of money on cabs. But in case you're with your sweetheart and want a peaceful and quiet time, do visit! That is probably the secret why it worked for me :)

Remember guys if you book room in united 21 in Kodaikanal, experience will be worst. 1. It is one man army hotel, he is only in reception, he is office boy, house keeping guy, restaurant guy, person to take bags. 2. Rooms are not well maintained, no bath soap, no brush, no shower gel, no coffee making, lights are not working, no tube light, no fan, no ac. 3. They will show standard room in websites, once you reach they will show very bad room and show another room which is in higher rent. Hotel maintenance guys will eat that money. 4. Cot is small for couples. Restaurant is horrible, not maintained, no proper breakfast, you can't order anything to room as landline is not working, they don't keep water in room to drink, no coffee or tea making items, no free complimentary products. Forget about eating in room. 5. Big problem is transport, there is no auto in Kodaikanal, even taxi will not come to this area it is 6 km far from city and its in village. No proper roads, you can't even walk in night as there is no road lights. So, don't pay so much money and go to this place. 6. No credit card and Wifi, they simply act as if there is some problem with wifi during your visit.Actually they don't use Wifi/provide Wifi and card never works. 7. They don't provide bill for additional cash payment or restaurant bill 8. Hotel painting was done many years ago and now if it rains there is water leakage 9. Garden is not maintained 10. Value for money is only 25%…

Everything they showcase is a lie. 1. They don't have free internet. Even phone signal is not present most of the time. 2. Cash is the only payment mode. I have to go to another ATM to get the cash. No online transaction. Even if you pay via Paytm they ask you to pay extra. 3. They provide wrong location (in Booking.com) to attract the people. Shameless people. 4. The location is too remote, you can't live on only view. 5. Rooms are old, walls are not in good shape. Broken in some places. 6. Room service is really poor. You have to wait long enough to get your request through. 7. If you don't have car with you, then you are in big trouble. Resort keeps me waiting for 2.5 before they arrange some vehicle to pick me up. 8. Not value for money at all. I booked for 3 days, but vacate it within 1 day. 9. No cable channel is there. No staff even give us remote of the TV. Complete nuisance is there. 10. It is written they provide linen towels but reality is it's just cotton towel nothing more than that. There are lots of bad things happened within one day, can't remember all of them. Basic recommendation is skip this hotel, they ruin you holiday completely.…
