I stayed at Karuna Farms for a week in October and it was nothing short of a much needed detox. With the intention of taking some time out from the urban madness, we decided to stay at Sashi small as advised by some friends. The week we stayed at Karuna, we spent time with Mother Nature, staring into the endless... More

Thank you for your review. You have pretty much nailed it! I think you describe everything quite perfectly. My only comment is that there is that lunch and dinner are served every day for all Guests .. so you will always have food when you are there at 1pm or 7 pm. Glad you managed to enjoy Karuna Farm for... More

No,words cant describe the beautiful view and feel from Shashi Big! This place is about getting off grid from your comfort zone and enjoying the nature. The trek all the way up to the cliff thru the forest is breathtaking. The one star they lost is the lack of hospitality from the woman running the place. But the beauty surely... More

This place is just awesome. Do not take elders or kids along. Requires a lot of trecking to get around the place which requires a decent level of fitness. Shashi big has the best view, go for it if you're in a group of 5 or more. Carry necessary food (snacks, coffee or tea powder, milk) since goin to the... More

The breathtaking view of the valley, cooking amongst the sound of nature, having a candle light dinner under the brilliance of the moonlight, watching the beautiful sunrise and sunset, taking bath in your own little waterfall, sleeping inside a small cozy dome, and spending all day doing nothing. All of this with your significant other. I could say without a... More

The only things that kept me from giving Karuna Farm a 5 star rating are the unfriendly staff and the poor upkeep of the rooms. This is one of the most beautiful locations to stay at - you are surrounded on every side by nature, breathtaking views, beautiful untouched hills (be prepared to walk up and down hill, sometimes in... We, a family of 4 stayed at Karuna for 3 days. This is a place where nature and the views take the center stage. Go here only if you would like to shut yourself off from so called "civilization" - you have no TV, no internet and no phone coverage too. The cottages are basic - we stayed in "Ganga"... More
