It's slightly hit and miss with the rooms but if you're looking for a quiet retreat (and willing to make the long trek for food) this makes a better getaway than Vattakanal. Ideally, carry food supplies so you can cook in the cottages.

You could try Vattakanal. This has many guest rooms that are cheap. It is nice there with good views. It's also much busier and lots of noise and little privacy. Shops for food etc are very close which for some people is a... More
