The stay at poppys pleasant was really amazing and enjoyable. Situated on a steep hillside of kodaikkanal theni side with great amenities. Being a disabled person its a welcoming thing that the hotel has lift and accessible rooms. Staffs and management were really helpful.

Hotel ambience, stay, bed and room refreshness was really awesome. Our clothes were drenched in the rain and all our wet clothes were inside but still the room stayed fresh. Lovely stay and food was amazing. If I have to ever visit Kodai again then I will visit poppys

Avoid at all costs. We booked two rooms in Nov 2023. Let me get the positives out first! The bathrooms are clean and hot water is literally available 24 hrs. The breakfast buffet spread (which is included in the room charge) is very good. So now, I come to the brasstacks. Please avoid this hotel if you can. Service is abysmal. Excuse given to us was because of Deepawali, too many guests they had arrived and many staff were on leave. Rarely can there be a hotel which does not crave for full house. All hotels work towards this goal that they get all their rooms filled up. This kind of excuse is just not accepted in the hospitality industry. If you can't handle your guests, then you don't have the right to open a hotel. There is utter chaos during breakfast. Food is not ready on time, plates and cutlery not available... when food does come, all items don't arrive. So guests are left holding their plates and staring here and there. The floor of the breakfast area is most unclean, wet and smelly. The wash area nearby is the same. As regards room service, while taking over the room, you will most probably find things meant to be in the room not available. So when you call the reception or the housekeeping, all you get is 'we will get it done sir'. Then you wait for minutes and hours. You keep calling and nothing happens. Then only when you threaten a 'bad review', do they come running. The location is also very difficult for vehicles to enter. The view from the hotel on all sides is also not good. We had booked Poppys Pleasant Stay, Kodaikanal only because we had had a fantastic experience at Poppys, Madurai. But to no avail. The reception staff at PPS, Kodaikanal is the worst. All in all, a bad experience.

Very noisy hotel, music played non-stop in the common areas with speakers in the corridor of the rooms, we were on the games room floor, again, very noisy. Awakened with fanfare on Sunday at 7 a.m. by music!! Very dirty dining room, really limited breakfast, not even a tea bag for us who don't drink Indian milk tea. We stayed two nights, we had to call mid-afternoon to have the room made up, otherwise no one would have come.

The stay was good. Good spacious room with normal bed , electric kettle, coffee table and lighting . bathroom had all amenities and warm water was available in the morning. Night the food we ordered in anjappar was very tasty. Morning the complimentary breakfast was not provided in buffet and was not up to the mark. Next room had guests who were smoking throughout which was a disturbance for the kids. There is play area , courtyard to engage the kids. In store shopping for t-shirts and chocolates and snacks was available. They told they have taken over recently and improve everything .

I’ve booked this property for 2N for my guest. But they were highly disappointed due poor service. If u go for MAP plan they have very limited options in menu n they just keep waiting the guest for 40-45 mins for dessert n at last leaved without having anything. When the guest call them for water bottle, firstly they have make many calls(5-6 times) n they get that after 2:30 hrs when the guest lost his patience. Property manager n restaurant manager are not giving proper service to guest as they are not getting satisfied. So, Friends you can choose any other option in Kodaikanal.

Don’t go by images of the hotel. The service is very very poor. Be it the manager or the regular staff they do not act on the complains.
1. No water served in the rooms 2. Foul smell in the toilets 3. Small animal poops in the buffet area 4. None of the activities are usable. Either under repair or it’s not functional 5. Parking is downhill and no valet either to park the vehicle. 6. Couldn’t get over the smell as it was n ext to fishery market and beef stall. 7. Lacking basic communication skills and service industry etiquette’s . 8. Service is horrible. Even to deliver a bottle of water takes 45 min. (No exaggeration).
Except for the security personal Mr Satish and security officer our stay was ruined by pathetic service offered by “POPPIES PLEASANT STAY”.

The stay was good, it has some indoor games where kids can be engaged, stay was neat. All spots to visit are nearby like lake is in walkable distance. Anjapper becomes best cuisine for lunch which is located with this hotel itself.
