A lovely property in Kodai Hills, just about 2 hrs drive from Maduari. Perfect for families or couples who want a break from chaotic lives. Just keep ur phones switched off, enjoy the lovely forest atmosphere here. Children have play area, adults can enjoy a game of cricket, basket ball, shuttle badminton, adventure rope walking, archery, or just choose a book from the library and settle on a hammock and enjoy your read. There is an amphitheater set-up where u can watch movies, cricket matches under the sky. Food is amazing, both veg and non-veg options. Rooms are very modern for a comfort stay. Overall best place to have some calm and quiet. Special mention to the lovely hosts who ensure you have a great time here.

Unique Experience - Awesome Stay At Thopovan!

It is an experience. Yes, Staying in this place is An Experience!! Artfully Architected Resort. Thoughtfully Designed Rooms. Exquisitely Fashioned Outdoors. Skillfully Constructed Play Area! And the Can't-Beat-Service!! We were a group of 13. All school friends where we all studied together from 1st grade till 10th grade. Very close. This ambiance provided the perfect surrounding for a valuable and memorable time. We just walked in and taken away by the prominence of the wide expanse of the mountains, clear blue sky that dazzled our senses. Surprised about this beautiful resort in the midst of lush green and that's so near to Madurai (home). This place is inexplicably beautiful with its simplicity of its design and the prominence of the mountains that surrounds. The design of the room, we were awe-struck like a child on the seashore! The room has the necessary things like comfortable beds, chairs, tables, etc, but the best part is the sit out. A big sit out as it you are walking into the open space, but dedicated only for this room. we fifteen guys comfortably sat there, enjoying the fabulous weather, chatting, dancing and listening to our favorite songs. The bathroom, unique experience! :) there is a netted door in the bathroom and when opened, it leads to another space, fully covered by walls and the top is open and you can see the sky, the mountains and there is a normal shower! Totally surprised as not only we didn't expect this, we couldn't even imagine that! Experience was fabulous. Gave a feel that you are having a bath in the middle of the jungle while you are in the safe environment of your own room! Great thinking on the architects part. The food. Great is an understatement. We had both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian. Hot from the Oven Idlis, Fresh Crispy Vadas, Aromatic Pongal, Delicious Sambhar and freshly cut fruits. For Dinner, variety of chicken made in South Indian Style, Pepper Chicken, Chicken 65 (a class of its own), Chicken curry, Very soft and well made Chappattis, Dosas, Panner Maasala, all served in hot-packs that we could have it in the open area at our leisure! The walk from the villa to the reception is short but mountainous that makes the heart pump harder! We felt guilty calling them for water and immediately for Coke and in a few minutes another friend needed a sprite, then another needed additional towels, pillows and for other errands. What's amazing is, the guy kept running from the reception to the villa several times and each time, he comes with a genuine smile, and eager to listen to your requests. The guys are hanging on to every word we utter and eager to meet the demand and exceed our expectations. This kind of great attitude, money can't buy. They have hand picked the people and have trained them for this exemplary service. I have to mention a million thanks to Siva, the one who assisted us the most in running between the villas and the office and also served most of our meals. I did meet the cook, but didn't ask for his name. He is just amazing! The wifi didn't work which initially made us felt disconnected from the world but that became an instrument to have focused quality time. We thought of bonfire only at 9 pm and that was too late to look for the woods and we couldn't have it. But they were ready to have a bonfire for us and even they set up a karaoke though we didn't use. Next time, we will ensure that we inform the office that we plan to have bonfire well in advance. The Madam (Manager) is awesome. Keen on meeting our needs and our requests kept coming. There was an additional person joined at the last minute, Needed a particular type of food, Required Food in a little different time than it was served. For a moment, we thought we are pushing it, but they were so cooperative and did it with care and friendliness, Every small thing has been thought out so well and so deep. We took a walk towards the gate around 11 pm to get the network and suddenly Madam appeared and asked whether we need anything! The pathway with the leaves imprint, the Carem, The Swing, Sit-out, Play Area, every bit of was enjoyable. The place and service met the organizer's proclivity of a Perfect Place. We are thinking of making this as our yearly connect place...…
