We stayed on Jan 23 to Jan 24, 2021 in 'Suite' Room. The hotel is located about 1 kms from lake. There is good amount of Parking Space available. Drivers are also provided with accommodation if vacant. Check-in was smooth. Suite room has a Hall with Kitchen and 2 bedrooms. And it was spacious.. The two bedrooms had restrooms attached. Hall had a television along with sofas. There was also a dining table just near the kitchen. So, furnishing was excellent. Beds in rooms were comfortable. We were provided with blankets and room heater. Hot water was available 24 x 7 and it was very hot too. So, that's nice, especially in December / January. There is a lawn opposite to our room for Campfire though we did not use them. We had requested for Morning Breakfast. It tasted good with no complaints. The breakfast area had couple of table set outside, in the sun, and few sets inside the room. Place was neat and great. Staffs were very much courteous to take our luggage to and from room. I did read about complaints on Tripadvisor that rooms were not made. We did not request such service so, I could not verify the claim. Overall, I would say, The stay was well worth the cost and much value for money. The ambience was great, staffs were greeting, smiling & courteous. What I liked was, unlike few other properties, this hotel didn't feel cramped for space. Would surely like to visit them again.…
rooms are good, location is excelent ,very near to market and still maintained the greenery.hotel owner is very nice and polite.only problem is linens and bed sheets shall be changed with new ones as some are very old.room heaters are not provided.all else is excelent main thing good lawn to enjoy with children and familys...food is little costly but very hygienic.
One of our friends in our group booked the place and it didn't disappoint. Ten mnts walk to the lake makes for a good location. Our suite had a decent living/dining area, with a TV and satellite connection, two small bedrooms with attached baths. The fittings, geyser etc in good working condition. The in house restaurant seems to have an excellent cook and very courteous staff. The restaurant prepares food on your order, to be placed in advance. For e.g. you order the breakfast the previous night. One of the best idlies, dosa, vada with fresh Chutneys and Sambar! Easily better than what one might get in town restaurants! Generally the dishes including Parotha and curries are fresh and sit easy on your stomach, very crucial for an active traveller! The pricing is reasonable too. Excellent overall.…
We had taken one normal double-bed room, as we were all friends. A nice cozy place to stay for your travels to Kodaikanal, this hotel is also located near the heart of the town, Kodaikanal lake. It is easy to manage your travel across Kodaikanal if you live nearby the lake and the market is also walking distance from it. Good, clean rooms and nice ambience at night!
Stony Croft is a family owned and family run hotel with a nice restaurant. The owner herself looks into the quality of food served ! We had requested for thaat idlis , medu vadas and masala dosas ! All of these were exceptional !
I Stayed at this Hotel for 3 days during my visit to Kodaikanal. This place is very quiet place with good view of the surrounding hills and valleys even though its close to the main city. This place is 5 mins walking distance from the lake where boating is possible and around 10 min from Coakers walk where you can go for a scenic stroll of the valley. Main Market is only 10 mins walking distance. The hotel is clean and has facility for hot water with geyser. The rooms are comfortable overlooking a cute garden. Food prepared are tasty and we can order both Veg and Non veg foods. Prior order is taken and prices are reasonable. Mr.Rajendran the caretaker is friendly and can give useful tips for moving around. He also arranges transport if required. You can get double rooms and suite as per your requirement.…
Spent a few days in the last week of December with family. Good food-- which you need to preorder. Hotel is close to the market and the lake . For a memorable experience go to the lake at 7 in the morning and walk around it-- 5 to 6 kms. No crowd then. Had a good time Thank you
We came to kodaikonal for a short trip and stay in this hotel for one day with kid, its very nice loation and very near to lake and bazzar. The nice garden in front of this hotel is nice and maintained well and childrens will surely enjoy the garden. Its a memorable experience to stay in this hotel.
Stayed here during the 15th August long weekend along with family. The property is well connected and at a walking distance from the lake which happens to be the nerve center of Kodai. The rooms are spacious and clean. Rooms open into a pleasant garden and seating. Sufficient parking space available. We contacted the owner in advance and made provision for the Berijam visit. Everything went very smoothly. What deserves a special mention is the warm hospitality and travel tips of the property manager - Rajendran Sir . He gave us great time and money saving tips around exploring Kodai and has some great life experiences up his sleeve which he shares when you draw him into a long conversation on a cold Kodai evening. Lastly, we only had a one dinner at the hotel. The food was delicious, liberal in quantity and way cheaper than the other hotels around or our expectation. Highly recommend it. Please pre-order and nudge the cook a little, else he loves to stick to his comfort zone. But nonetheless, excellent experience. Of the 7 odd meals we ate at different hotels at Kodai, this place was by far the best and cheapest. Overall, lovely place. Would definitely recommend and revisit. Thank you all who ensured we loved your place as much as we loved Kodai and its environs.…
We did not stay here, just had lunch. You You need to call and pre order if I'm not mistaken. Lovely tatta idlis and dosas. Sambhar was excellent. Had a lovely meal. There was nobody else there, don't think many people know about this place.
